I read it as well. It stems from the fact that it is your common law right to be put back in the position you were in prior to the accident.

It's an obvious one, but...

Retro fitting even a factory setup would be a complete pain in the arse. As G60Jet said, selling up and buying one with aircon is by far the best way to go.

Apologies for hijacking the thread, but how much are a pair of ARB bushes?

No. Electric shock is caused by static build up. Do you were polyester pants? To avoid the static shock, ground yourself on the car (eg. keep hold of the door frame) as you get out the car. Don't know about the alternator though. However, if the AA man says it could catch fire, I'd be inclined to believe him - he doesn't stand to gain anything by making that up.

What are the tell tale signs of original mileage

Previous MOT's - providing you have them, of course. -
I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the fast V70/850's. Very nearly bought one when I sold my 172.

Any chance of getting one of the cd's off you?

Where do you get ETKA from? I have found a site that sells it here, but just want to find out if anybody knows of a better place to get it?
-
You don't have to please anybody. Go for the ones you like best.

Mine's a '95 M 8v and the engine is identical to ryan's. Haven't got a clue what injection system it is though. Or the engine code, for that matter. Er.....HTH.

Going by the ebay name, I'd hazard a guess it's Johnboy98 on this forum. I don't see a problem with using a photo of someone elses car though. I'd be flattered.

Aren't they on Canadian models, or something?

I doubt it would fit, but then, having never tried it...

Air Conditioning is, well, air conidtioning. It chills and dehumidifies the air. Climate Control is also air conditioning, but it's slightly more intelligent. Instead of setting the temperature of the air that's being blown out, you set the temperature you want the cabin to be. The climate control then adjusts the air temperature and fan speed to bring it up/down to the desired cabin temp. Climatic Semi Auto Conditioning is probably some manufacturers version of climate control..?

Kiss of death - you wait 'til tomorrow morning!

I tried to get one last summer. I ordered it from VW for around £97 (or was it £91?) VAT inclusive, but they later phoned to say it has been discontinued. I agree that second-hand is the way to go.

I was lead to believe there were two versions of CliffNet - one for installers and one for end user. I may be wrong, however.

It reminds me of an old Audi 200 avant, circa 1987.

You say it caught other cars out, so most likely cause would be a diesel spill.
