I am looking for some coilovers for my c but am on a budget, Ive seen ak's on ebay for about £300 delivered from germany, Supersports are a little more i think but Ive read one or two bad comments on here about them. Anyone running ak's on there c ? Whats peoples thoughts as to whats best for that kind of cash ? Cheers.

Got 17x8's on mine with 3mm spacers front and 10mm rear no problems -but am on standard suspension at mo so may have problems when I lower her soon (will see).....

Well there better then my effort.... Now thinking of removing these as one rings went out, would be interested in these ones tho if price was ok.

Yeah mk3 golf is the same gti/vr only I think tho, Done mine a couple of weeks ago alot harder then we thought, removed drive shaft and took track rod end off to get it in/out, pipes are also awkward to get to. That and a new radiator took me and a mate most of the day.

Sorry I dont have the answer for you mate as I need to know that too, Because am after a kit but I want to drop the car about 60mm but cant get a kit for the vr unless i go coilovers. I think it is just the spring thats different tho. How low you got it ?

Your lucky mate Ive got no full closure or c/l, If I unplug the pump or disconect the batt it seems to reset its self and will lock but not unlock or close windows etc.. Its been like this since i bought it nearly a year ago, Had old alarm stripped out (by quality fitter), Tryed second hand pump and main control thing (behind rear 1/4 panel) and still no luck...Given up now think Ill give it to the stealers to look at as I really need the toad ai606 that ive had for about 6 month fitted. any ideas ?? Seen a few over the last week,, G60 on J plate possibly ice gray or similar on the silverlink north shields at about 8am (exchanged a wave), yellow one parked up also on the silverlink early morning possibly thursday, Red one parked at the vw dealers also on the silverlink not sure of the model. And best of all a green mint storm m-plate paked up at tynemouth on sunday afternoon about 3.30, parked next to it while walking the dog along beach it was still there when i returned. anyone on here ?

The spray is foilatec (spelling?) about £15 and they also do a remover too I think thats about a tenner..

Id like to remove mine, but I dont want to leave any marks as that would look worse, Whats the best way to remove them ?

So what do you guys with tinted lights do about the reverse lights??

Yeah did mine today (in the kitchen- missus not best pleased) they turned out ok a couple of very small runs but cant relly notice them. And like yourself my indicators seem orange but need to see them in daylight as it was getting dark when i put them back on... But as you say like my kitchen floor the reverse lights are pink, How can i get around this?? Surely its gonna fail m.o.t. Ill try and get some pics up tomorrow.

Ok guys am sorry for ambushing your thread but am thinking of tinting my rear lights all red need a 'how to' on tinting them, Ive done a search but have been unable to find anything. Can you give me an idea on the best way to do it ??? cheers (again sorry for raiding the thread)

How difficult is it to remove the radiator on the vr ?? what other parts need to be removed ? I need a new rad quick... And it looks such a tight fit. Any advice ? Cheers.

Yeah mate i think they are the LED ones, They arent very bright in daylight but are nice and bright at night. Some company needs to design a new headlight for the raddo :(

Ebay, There the ct racing ones seem to be good quality unlike some ive seen. Watch out tho theres alot of the not so good ones on ebay, That are more like a yellow glow then bright white..

Remove light....Unclip and Remove lens.... Line up angel eyes mark with pen, Small one fitted spot on large one needed plastic trimed (I used a dremel) along the bottom (so lens would go back on).... stick in position with clear silicone to reflector thingy... Feed wires down back of reflector thingy and link up with side lights.... once silicone is dry (2 hours to be on the save side) Replace lens (worth giving it a quick wash before) and clips, and pop light back in..... Biss bash bosh job done :D

Heres mine quite happy with them, Better then stantard imo... Yes i know one in that pic is blue but thats now sorted.... and i do think they look better in the flesh and do look great when you have dipped beam on.. Also really easy to do..
