No 2 covers most of this stuff but I've added the rest to the list.
-
phat rado, - welcome to the forum m8 ur car looks great - nice wheels Watch your front spoiler though - mine used to scrape on the road regularly, before I ripped it off :( You may be okay - looks like your's has been changed for the 50mm VR6 one, instead of the 90mm one it will have had originally.
-
There are a few G60's runing around Europe/UK with factory leather - as mentioned earlier, it was a cost option on both the G60 + VR6 (ex VW employee  )

Do the first 1k on a standard pulley & then put the smaller one back on. If your charger hasn't been re-built for a while - this will make an immense difference to your performance.
-
I'm currently thrashing the nads off a 65mm pulley & R1 spec charger :D omg - I really do need some red tops :rambo:

Number 6 on Steve's list mate  Yeah your pump is sprouting a lovely pink moustache at the moment ! I added number 6 to the list on the advice of Supercharged & vr6corrado

Baz - I think it takes a brave man to drive at 120mph on uneven roads

Not sure on that either but the VR does have a different rear axle beam & mountings to the G60. The stub axle/hub assy's are interchangeable so I can only assume that the difference is width. Logically this would be the case, to facilitate using the same offset of wheel front & rear.

Water leak on your Corrado ? If your oil is ok/not contaminated & your water is not contaminated Common areas to look at :- 1. Faulty header tank cap - common problem & very cheap - replace this first 2. Look for residue around all water pipe/hose connections, radiator, oil cooler, etc  3. G60 & 16v - check black plastic housings on front & side of engine - look for residue around sender unit seals 4. Worn/aged water hoses - check for "ballooning" & deteriorating rubber hoses 5. Weak hose clips - original factory clips may become weak with age - replace only with steel jubilee clips 6. Waterpump/thermostat housing - check for leaks & noisy bearings
-
Just had a quick look - looks as though it's leaking from the plastic temp sender housing on the front of the engine. Lots of residue around the joint onto the pipe which branches off towards the driver's side. Still has the original factory hose clip securing the pipe - may have become weak over the years. I'm gonna clean it up & stick a jubilee clip on instead.

good luck! Cheers m8 - I'm not gonna say where it is just yet but it maybe good news for all of us - if i get the job

Just a thought - when the boot was closed, was anything trapped between the boot lid & car body ? This would make the lock difficult to open - try pressing down on the boot lid as you unlock the car.
-
Haven't been bothered to look for it yet !! I'm gonna have to get around to doing it though - progressively using more & more water. Definitely no water in the oil or oil in the water. Uses no oil at all. I'm convinced it's an external leak. I'm gonna have to check the sender unit seatings this weekend - job interview in Birmingham on Wednesday 8)

BeavisJem, my G60 is doing exactly the same thing - using 1litre every 400 miles now though

Nice cars & photos - welcome to the forum m8 -
Roughly how big are the holes ?
-
Doing my pass side before the trip to Inters - Jim's right, it will be the clip/retainer on the lifting mechanism.
-
Favourites are: The steering column flap - between the wheel & instrument housing, spring loaded & vibrates sometimes. Cured with a small piece of felt or double sided sticky tape. Loose wiring - find loose wires & stick the spongy wire conduit back around them.

Your Insurance Cost For Your Corrado

Cheap as chips - where on earth do you keep it - in a bank vault :?: -
Vibe components in mine - 300w 6x9's in my custom made MDF parcel shelf & components in the front doors via a 4x120w amplifier. http://www.vibeaudio.co.uk/vibe.asp Excellent quality - be sure to use oxgen-free speaker cables though, made almost as much difference as changing the speakers IMO.

we know what you drive and what you do!but how old are you??

This has got to qualify for the longest thread in the entire forum.. :D -
Depends entirely on condition & wether or not you can independantly verify the mileage - old MOT certificates etc. IF the mileage IS genuine & the car IS in as good a condition as my '92 G60, I would be asking around £5.5k - £6k However, if I was buying I would be offering around 3.5k - giving him a sob story about how old it was, etc. Be very wary - 32k is extremely low mileage - could well need brake pads & discs all round due to lack of use, etc. When a car is not used for a period of time, things tend to seize up a bit.

Don't think it works either.. :(

Paintwork may look a slightly different shade in sunlight. May also develop rust patches - body repairers rarely coat new panels with the same quality rust inhibitors as the factory.
