  5. Morning, If anyone can provide some direction on Oil pressure sensors for a G60 it would be much appreciated, Ekta, Bentley and the original parts I have all seem different - query relates to the one on the RH of the head where the charger takeoff is and the one on the top of the oil filter housing I have 068 919 081 and 056 919 081C but not sure which way around they were when removed: 068 919 081 marked 0.15-0.45bar (black) 056 919 081C marked 1.4 +/-0.2 bar (black) Bentley shows Head - 0.3bar (brown) Oil Filter - 1.4bar (black) Etka Head 028 919 081 H oil pressure switch 0,25BAR M10X1 (blue) Oil filter: 2 056 919 081 oil pressure switch 1,8BAR M10X1 (white) (2) 068 919 081 D oil pressure switch 1,4BAR M10X1 (black) (2) 068 919 081 C oil pressure switch 0,9BAR M10X1 (grey) Thanks

  8. @Keyo - Thanks m8, much appreciated [emoji106] [emoji106] Couple of others if you know: > Have a stray brown/white loomed up with the o2 pot sensor? > Have a blue cable with single plug which I understand to be the 'alternator excitor wire' - where does this connect? (image attached) Thanks in advance [emoji106] Sent using Tapatalk
  9. Hi All, Now finishing up wiring ect for my transplant but have a few loose ends, any help appreciated: Blue and Black temp sensors: I have 4 wires (plugs missing atm) which don't seem to match bentley: Brown, white/brown, brown/green, yellow/green Reverse switch: Can anyone confirm black/red and black/blue to plug? Oil pressure switches: Have Yellow which is high oil pressure? Also have blue/white and green/black, one of these is low oil pressure which don't seem to match my bentley? Not sure what the other is? I may have missed something obvious in the items above, loom is new to the car and engine [emoji849] Thanks [emoji106] Sent using Tapatalk

  12. Yeah used UB front to back, where there was any damage or rust to existing underseal I cleaned it back to bare metal and coated with red oxide and then 3m schutz and UB over the top Sent using Tapatalk
  13. Top 3 gauges sit in a universal holder that took an age to chop in, lower steel plate sits in a grove created by the universal holder and is cut snug to sit in the bottom - took a while but I think the end product looks tidy Sent using Tapatalk

  17. May have opened a can of worms here but it's good to vent @MJA you triggered my memory...[emoji21] Had a full respray about 5yrs ago, stripped it all down, door shuts etc - everything except the engine bay. Reassembled the car and went to put on the last item which was the badge they forgot to paint - car was the wrong colour [emoji2959] Later got my engine out, cleaned down every mm of the engine bay and took it to a 'better' bodyshop; colour looked better so started to run brake lines etc. Noticed a small defect in the paint so undertook a repair with a mixed rattle can, spent a good bit of time in prep etc - job done. Removed the masking and guess what - Bay was the wrong colour and different to the body[emoji2959] Transpires there are 3 helios blues with different paint codes but paint manufacturers don't all make the differentiation Have since done the bay respray myself and will provide the paint when I get the body done (again) [emoji849] Sent using Tapatalk
  18. Got some early hours in on the C this morning and found this wiring abortion left for me by a 'professional' installer, in true fashion buried under about 3 rolls of tape - whats the worst anyone else has found? Sent using Tapatalk
  19. Thanks folks, I'll have a look at what's about [emoji106] Sent using Tapatalk
  20. Bit of a thread revival Where did you get to with this @v11boy? Im going though options now, in honesty will probably go for a retro look with current tech than a period correct model; this led me to the Bremen same as others
  21. Glad I'm not the only one who does this, have spent ages searching for a stray part and bought it; then found it tucked in the ashtray or similar [emoji849] Sent using Tapatalk
