Hi, Looking to track down the 2no long bolts for the starter motor as attached, ETKA shows 2 different bolt arrangements - if anyone can shed any light on the difference it would be appreciated. Thanks & Merry Christmas

Hi All, Looking for a Front engine mount bracket to suit 4Cyl/G60: Part number 357 199 273. Thanks

Thanks Si, looking at the bolts etc from when i took it off the previous owner must have bodged it at some point. Looks like the parts quest continues then...cheers for the ebay link

Hi, has anyone got any photos of the front engine mount bracket arrangement on a G60? Also is there more than type? The bracket that came on the engine is 1H0-199-273-D which doesn't match Etka (357199273) Thx

More than happy to contribute to keep this alive 👍

Hi all, spoke to VW to order some replacement bolts to mount the gearbox back on my 1.8 PG; typically they were not avaliable but their parts man suggested any quality high tensile bolts would be fine - anyone see any issue with this? Not too concerned but thought it may be worth a check. Thanks

Hi, looking for a driveshaft heatshield for a KR/PG engine - it's the one mounted low down on the back of the block to protect the inner cv joints from the manifold Thanks

Started to change my fluorescent bulbs over to these and they are really good, not expensive either https://www.toolstation.com/mark-lighting-slimline-led-batten/p89463

Hi All, Having relocated my battery to the boot to make way for the FMIC and also replaced/smoothed the battery tray as it was rotten, I now need to create a new main ground/earth in the bay - any tips or guidance on method? My plan was to drill a new hole in the chassis leg below the old tray location and and tap it for a suitable bolt, providing the paint is removed for a good contact? For the connection in the boot from the battery i was considering using the threaded stud from the old spare wheel or do the same as above in the boot floor near the chassis. Any input appreciated, want to close this out before i lift the engine back in and loose access. Thanks

Seeking a bracket for the round type reservoir for a G60. Thanks

Hi, Looking for any parts anyone has available to for the later type power steering setup (attached), changing from the old 16v arrangement; Parts not required: > Fluid Reservoir (bracket required) > Steering Rack > Steering Pump Would also consider the rigid lines in poor condition to use as a template if anyone has them around. Cheers

Cheers Si, Think there are a few companies around but mine didn't survive removal intact so don't have a template - if anyone has any around that i could borrow it would be appreciated 👍 While searching found this company, prices look good but they don't do the 16v delivery pipe. http://www.powersteeringstore.co.uk/index.php?route=product/search&search=corrado Differences in 'plumbing' are extensive between the 16v & G60 (see attached) but the rack and pump look the same

Now nearing the point of running pipework for my power steering and found the prices for the supply and return lines for the 16v setup (£135 and £225!); aside from arrangement are there any differences between the G60 and 16v system? As im moving to G60 now wondering if i ditch the 16v parts and install G60? Alternatively does anyone like HEL do replacement lines for either system? Any input welcome

Cheers guys, both helpful 👍

Thread revival, Can anyone assist with this one? - still in need of some pics
-
For clarity the second pic is the fusebox end of the cable in the first - not that it sheds a lot of light The one with the 3pins is in the same location as the exp tank sensor plug
-
Hi STU175, I remember there being a ballast on the old 16v loom - mine was on the drivers side tho. 3pin plug colours in order - Brown, Green/Blk, Blk/White Thanks

Going through my wiring harnesses prior to install with a bit of a tuck, can anyone shed any light on the loose ends below?: > Yellow connector on LH Front wiring harness - would be around the headlight location; returns to a separate plug from the fusebox? > 3 Wire connector on the LH front wiring harness - would be around the exp tank area? (Ignore the previous butchery, not mine) Can find either in the wiring diagrams, so any help appreciated. Cheers
