Flash Car Wash System - NOW CHEAP AT TESCO
Stormin Dave replied to Andy665's topic in Suppliers Forum
Just for Dinkus http://www.freshliving.com/flashcarwash/faq.htm -
I know it sounds a bit like re-booting a computer and you've probably already tried it but try disconnecting and re-connecting again. I had a similar problem with my Sigma and this reset the thing better second time.

Excellent choice sir (he said in a biased sort of way). What's the milage? How much did you pay for it?
-
Oops sorry, there is quite a bit of stuff about that isn't there
-
Just out of interest, why doesn't your Storm have a sunroof?

VR6 Storm [238,500 miles and counting 13/02/07]

Looks excellent inside and out regardless of milage and air conditioning too. I reckon you've got a good deal there mate. Rear Storm badge alignment looks a bit strange. Blimey, aren't we a set of nit pickers. -
FAO anyone who travels along the M1 Junction 26-29 North.

Not in one piece anyhow I'd imagine. -
Workmates and the things they shouldnt say..

Sounds to me like you've invested your money wisely in a two things rather than pi$$ing your money away. Very mature....! -
I seem to remember a certain suspect green Storm up for sale that seem to have early style everything, but by all accounts the early bonnet/hood showed signs of contact with the big lump under it. So best to change IMO, looks better as well.

Looks good with the front spoiler and fits in well with your side skirts, but if you're not sure yourself then leave it off and gain some extra pennies by selling. The body kit scene is not my cup of tea really, it seems a shame that karmann produce a cracking looking car only to start hiding the original looks. No offence.

Got to agree with most. :? I don't particularly like the new shape golf no matter what spec. The Mk 4 to me still looks to have more character purpose.
-
Surely yours is the only one in the village though Mr Wales
-
Well I don't think Storm owners will get their money back..! They'll probably just lose less than some of the other models. I bought mine 'cos it actually was a good price for a standard VR. Wouldn't change now though.

Yes..! There is I tell ya'. :bounce2: Try it.

Seems strange to me why VW created the two different rear seat layout seing as the bench doesn't add an extra seat. Just gives more cost in production surely?

Things that have gone wrong and then fixed themselves.......
Stormin Dave replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
ABS light came on again 2 weeks after having one of the sensors replaced. Doh..! Following week had to go through a pretty deep puddle the in the floods we had. Next morning "ba da bing" no ABS problem. Rain water must have jet washed the sensor clean. My guess is that if the garage had looked at it then it would have been faulty rather than dirty. -
 I used to have this problem, and what I started doing was opening the door and then before shuffling out, touch and hold part of the painted section of the door. Keep hold until you're fully out of the car and then relax. Hey presto..! Not such a shocker anymore. :D

I don't what spec of battery you require but Maplins elctronics are always a good bet.
-
You're right there... I think that VW have got so much to live up to with the Corrado that it's gonna have to be absolutely spot on ta call it one. I won't be saving up just yet.

I always wanted a Mk II Scirocco (B.C) but ended up with a Mk II Golf Driver instead because of outrageous insurance quotes especially for the 1.8. It's funny though as time's gone by I've now got more affection for the Mk I Scirocco. Maybe it has more character and resemblance to the C..?
-
I'm almost envious  Excellent.

dinkus' silver VR - I think I have a problem
Stormin Dave replied to dinkus's topic in Members Gallery
Looks like a very classy purchace there.... but for some reason I thought you might gey a pink rado. Good luck with keeping it straight. -
There's obviously a lot of cash invested but to me the back looks like a plastic bag that's got too close to the fire. Hmmm, interesting....!

It sounds like a good theory to me but you'd expect that with all the development costs invested in cars that one of the companies at least would be fitting them as standard.
