    Top Hatch Spoiler

cheers guys, cheesy - does it come with the stuff to bond it to the window? (like the mods you progressing with, bet there costing a pretty penny)
  2. Anyone know where to get the spoiler that sits at the top of the glass on the hatch? (hope that makes sense) not one of those wing things. Seen it on a few corrados in mags, looks similar to the one they did for the MK2 Golf. So not sure if its one of those modded to fit or if there really is onefor the Corrado??

    50mm vs 90mm?

The 50mm one's went on the later Corrado's (2.0 8v) the VR6 ones as far as I know are the 90mm as on G60's, maybe the ones they are selling are for the MK3 Golf VR6 as these varied to the GTI ones. As for which one to have suppose depends on how low your car is, 90mm looks better but for practicality a 50mm one wouldn't ground as much. (I'll be going to a 50mm one when I point the coilovers on otherwise I won't get on my drive.)
  4. cool possibly over lapped last item i read about them said they were metallic.mmmm metallic sticker would take the heat better than vinyl, but where we get them done don't know, looks like back to square one.
  5. A great way to dress up the front brake calipers of your Pontiac Grand Prix. These decals are made from the same materials used for lettering ambulances, trucks, outdoor signs, etc. Brushed chrome appearance. Recommended for installation over calipers that have been painted with a gloss paint. Heat from the calipers has no adverse affect on the metallic decal. pic below
  6. just repeating what i read on an american website for pontiac decals. they make these things but like you say with the heat how good and long they last is another question.
  7. hi found out that the vinyl they use is the same stuff for exterior signs on and on car body work. so guessing it must be some sort of thicker vinyl than what is used on window stickers, will handle the heat better. I was thinking maybe a twist on the audi rings but four vw badges fading in from light to dark or inversed so the last one is white. (post something up tomorrow) I have no problem designing stuff for people . (being graphic designer) so open for ideas.
  8. If you fancy making them stand out a bit, could try and find some caliper decals. Not actually seen any for VW's but there must be someone some where that will do them. As you can get them for hodas, subarus, audis etc. VR6 or Corrado logo might look cool.
  9. Most likely see you all there. Going to be meeting club GTI North West on the Swan car park about 8.00 so my G60 will be on there stand. I'll look out for the forums stand.
  10. Yeah i'm still interestedin a boost and air fuel gauges.
  11. cheers guys for the help, started alright when i got home, but going to have a check of althose you've said at the weekend.
  12. Stalled the car this morning getting off my drive,(to busy cocentrating on the blonde over the road). Problem is the car will not start now, tries to fire up but it dosnt catch. Never had a car do this to me before, any ideas anyone. :(
  13. Going to be there with Club GTI North Lancs, so G60 will be on there plot as its the only one in the club. So see you there.

    DEAD LOCK

MY DEAD LOCKING SEEMS NOT TO BE WORKING, THE CAR LOCKS BY THE KEY OR MY TOAD ALARM FOB, BUT THE USUAL SOUND OF IT LOCKING AGAIN FOR THE SECOND TIME ABOUT TEN SECONDS LATER IS NO LONGER THERE. WHEN I GET IN THE CAR AND START IT UP AFTER ABOUT TEN SECONDS OR SO IT LOCKS ME IN BY ITSELF. ANYONE ANY IDEAS? THE SPOILER DIED ON ME ON THE SAME DAY TO, BUT SUPPOSE THATS A DIFFERENT PROBLEM.

    paint question

You can buy an undercoat from Halfords or most good car accessory shops that has a plasterciser in it. As I used it when I did the eyebrow of my old golf. Just as long as you sand it down after every coat and then apply some lacquer at the end I cannot see you having much of a problem, just take your time.
  17. I'm still want them. Just anyone give me any info on installing them myself?
  18. Anybody know away of dyeing the interior carpets?? as mine are light grey and still look dirty even though ive vaxed them etc etc. Just wondered if there was an easier option to getting some new ones, as if they were dark grey would hide the marks. As ive heard you can dye household carpet. :?:

    Damp carpets

I had that problem on the passager side and after cleaning out the scuttle tray on the passenger side (as it was full of leaves) seems to of disapeared. If the holes in the wings that let the water drain out get blocked the water can come in through the heater vent, big black thing with a grill on top in the scuttle tray. The water seeps through the foam barrier, and I found out that the tray below the glove box felt damp too. But if you are getting it on both sides of the car it could well be the vapour barriers on either side. If they are torn or not glued in place properly then water comes into the cabin. It took about a week to dry out the mats under the carpet.
  20. yeah i'm up for it. definetly interested in somewhere smooth i can put down some speed and not worry about potholes etc.
  21. Another thing, look at the fuel filler pipe under the rear driverside wheel arch as its exposed inside the arch and if rusty might need replacing.
  22. Other things to look at are : Inside of the hood for mould. The rear footwells of the car for signs of damp. The fuse box, I know sounds unusual, but check there are no wires bypassing the fuel pump relay. As it is a common thing for that relay to go, and if it is usually means new fuse box. Check the tracking, make sure the car dosn't pull to oneside, as without a roof theres alot more flex in the body. Torneau cover, and tools with the jack.
  23. Yeah still up for them. How easy they to fit?, am i going to need alot of knowledge to do it myself? or is it pretty straight forward. lee w where abouts in the West Midlands are you? used to live in Wolves, my family still do, so regularly down there.

    Sticky windows...

Yeah do miss it as it was the last run out Sportline model, Recaro interior as standard and all the other toys. Always wanted a Corrado though, so going to be looking for some Recaro's for the Corrado soon.
  25. How about an etched glass look? I have just had some toad alarm stickers made up for my corrado as the max power ones looked crap. Have a few spare if anyone is interested. As for the VAG Round font I have all of them and would be willing to knock up some designs seeing as I'm a graphic designer for a living.
