  1. Great job! Does he supply the fabric too?
  2. There's an imporatant distinction betweek pikey bleed valves and what cheesewire suggested which is a gated valve. The former will spike and the latter will hold boost steady. This one is what most of the guys on the SXOC use who don't go electronic: http://82.110.105.84/apexperformance.co ... 267085bd20 Most people who use an electronic device there go for the Greddy Profec B. It's well priced, reliable and very small: http://82.110.105.84/apexperformance.co ... 267085bd20 EDIT: You could also go for an adjustable actuator. More difficult to adjust potentially but also more reliable: http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/conten ... nc=product
  3. They've put me in charge of ticketing in the car park so I've got to make sure all the cars are parked up and then out on the grid on Sunday before the start! Should be one to tell the kids about. Confirmed drivers include the usual JK amd Jodie Kid plus some other A-list celebs. I think it's a secret though so I'd better not blab it all over the internet! Police are expecting 500,000 to 1,000,000 people coming to see it.
  4. One of my mates works for Universal and caught wind of it. He recommended me and here I am :)
  5. I had 15.7 with a duff lambda probe and slipping clutch on my G60 with a full ICE install.
  6. I think the battery isn't your problem, it's the lack of use your car receives. Lead acid batteries hate being completley drained as it massively shortens their life. I'd get a normal battery and then either drive your car on more long journeys or buy a trickle charger for when your car's parked up for long periods.
  7. I used to have FK Highsports on my G60? Not too bad but a bit bouncy. You really get what you pay for with suspension.
  8. On a RWYB day they don't take into account reaction times, they start the timing when you "cross the beam". Might be different for an organised day but usually they only time the actual run.
  9. You could have put a picture up of a standard one though and said the same thing! So neuvo riche! It's not a proper Bentley unless it's got a 6.75 litre engine.
  10. I read that back prior to posting it and wondered if it might provoke a reaction!  Should I post some pictures up of it? ;)
  11. I spent last night rubbing Swissol Onyx into my gf's Puma. It came up so well and really shows off the deep metallic of the Melina Blue. Awesome stuff.
  12. Pah! Chicken! I reckon you could have got a low 15 with that power. ;)
  13. I found out that some people were pre-staging too far and had to back up to get behind the line, only forgetting to put it in first when the lights went green! :brickwall: Some great 'Rado's in your pics :) What time did you get up the strip?
  14. I heard that people were lauching backwards off the line at this event?
  15. True, but is that desirable? I'd rather be using my amps power to generate audible frequency than make my bum vibrate ;) You can feel audible low frequency sound too. I always set my subsonic filter to 30hz and still very much "felt the bass"
  16. I'd hook them both up and test the sound for yourself if you can. No need to worry too much about paper or pulp cones. Paper tends to be very light and can be very strong. JBL do pretty nice sounding budget kit in my experience. At the 28-50 Hz range you won't get much from a non-sub speaker. The human ear can't hear much below 30hz anyway (depending on age etc).
  17. Jesus xbones! Is that what makes the earth rotate?!
  18. I'm not an expert on "tuning" on a RR by any means but you should be looking for a nice stable A/F which get's richer as the engine is put under load. I don't know what the optimim A/F ratio should be on a VR but I'd guess at between 12 and 13:1. 14 is stoichiometric i.e all fuel is burnt but this is close to running lean which is bad. 12 and 13 is a good starting point as a little unburnt fuel cools the charge and prevents det. Put up your graphs and I'm sure you'll get lots of VR experts analysing the charts and gving you decent tips.
  19. This covers the basics :) http://www.the-corrado.net/wiki/index.p ... ning_Guide
  20. That is quite a tiny fan. The place I use has two of the fans in this pic: Did they measure your a/f ratio as well?
  21. I assume it's a VR? On a RR, the K&N might even help given that the bonnet is open and huge fans will be ensuring that the filter is fed with lots of cool air. The K&N will start to sap power when the bonnet is down and all the warm air is insulated in the engine bay.
  22. Me neither. Awesome looking car though. It would look even better on some BBS LM's IMO.
  23. I'd whip the suspension off and have a look from the bottom as well. You might be able to clean it up and treat it yourself without too much difficulty.
  24. My Pug 205 TD does 53mpg (1.7) and it only cost me £550
