40mph get it rite

 Agreed, they are w@nk. I just cannot believe people even contemplating driving a 400hp VRT around on 288s or 312s :cuckoo: You guys got no BALLS, always got your foot on the brakes
-
Yep, I went for the GT3076, same as you have. I chose that for the quicker spool over the GT35. When you hoping to have it on the road
-
Its coming along well thanks Shaun, just slowly  Its taken me a year to build it so far! All the mechanicals are finally done and at the moment I am making up a new loom for the Emerald ECU. I have taken my time with it and built it all properly, forged oversize pistons (3.0l), forged rods, big valve head, cams, 3" exhaust, wavetrak LSD, 02J shift tower, bigger rad etc.... There will be a full build thread at some point soon with lots of pics, watch this space! Nice work Ben Be nice to read you thread, did you go for GT30 im looking into a stronger bottom end. Jim at JKM will be building me one end of next year :) 400bhp will do for now

I had the 288 mk4 set up when mine had the V9 charger (300hp) and they were ok. Have you got 288's or 312's? Mate Hows yours coming along, Another Storm VRT
-
OK :? doing my brakes next
-
As long as the motor up to scratch, chains , clutch, engine mounts , fuel pump ,etc It don't stop by just bolting a Turbo on , there lots of hidden costs you don't even think about.
-
Cheers james , hope to have new rims in the new year :) Is your in the paintshop yet
-
We sure do , you could do a Kev and crash it and get insurance job :ignore:  SORRY kev
-

I know a bargain when it come to paintwork and what to use
-
Kev i was thinking of a separate cooler for the water on the turbo, what you think
-
Been Advised this by Alex at Elite.. and mendernza polishes for my car's paint (Pearl Grey and Magic Black) as VAG paint's generally quite tough (ignoring Tornado Pink!) Here's a link he sent me as to a good "Starter" pack... http://www.elitecarcare.co.uk/product_i ... cts_id=530 Hope this helps... Alex knows his stuff, i use them 8) Also Tim at cleanyourcar is another good place
-
Would agree if your not used a polisher before a DA be better for you , a Rotary will heat up quick and burn the edges if not careful. Im a paintsprayer by trade and know how easy it is burn though with a rotary. its knowing the limits I use the 3M range at work on fresh paint, but like the menzerna for my finishing and detailing on my own car :)
-
Also the menzerna are very good , i've used these two myself but with a rotery. 1 x 250ml - Menzerna Power Gloss (S34A) Cut 5 Gloss 1 1 x 250ml - Menzerna Super Finish (PO106FA) Cut 2.5 Gloss 5.0

i dont think any1 has any idea yet, but maybe after this weekend there might be more of an idea and also what sort of power the kit will produce Don't forget this is a basic kit, would say about 300bhp.
