Good progress fella 8) Looking forward to seeing this out and about, which shouldn't be too hard as I've moved to Dromore now mate, still no progress with mine though with all the moving. Wish I could find the enthusiasim you seem to have to get jobs done, but you'll be the one with the big smile on your face come Saturday.

Not sure what I paid for it as it was part of a cheap install i had done in a focus, it's one of the lower end PG amps. You'll only get a ton plus for the likes of the Titanium amps and possibley the Tantrum ones.
-
The phoenix gold amp isn't worth too much tbh I sold one the same about 3 years back for 50squid.... sorry if thats not what you want to hear.
-
Can't believe your lack off respect, why bother commenting at all, it would be easier just to say nothing which is what you should have done...... I never knew him myself obviously, but I still feel sad for his loss of life and his wife and child that he has left behind. Ask yourself how you would feel if someone said this about your loved ones? Disgusted  RIP Colin McRae

Looking sweet Greeny, really making me want another Red one..... Hmmm decisions decisions :?

I have the same wheels on my C and have been meaning to get VW badges for the centres, they look so much better in your pics.

This is coming along nicely, keep the updates coming, looking forward to seeing the finished project 8)

Dude, thats one hell of a paint job, I didnt think corrado's where around in the 60's, sure your car didn't go back too the future  Certainly is one rare Corrado, would be interesting to find out the history behind it? Had another go with the rear bumper at the weekend and still no joy with the plus gas, so might give you a shout to see if you can help out, Thanks for the offer :)

Toph, thats some elbow grease used to do those arches  Good work! what cleaner did you use? I keep hearing good things about the Castlewellan show but as yet haven't made it to one, my cars off the road to at the mo too, fitting exhaust and brakes and a few other bits and pieces. I need to update my Gallery too sometime soon. I'm having a mare removing the rear bumper on mine, one bolt loosened no probs the other 3 won't budge, what was the old mans wisedom? I am trying to get some plus gas as I heard that helps. Give me a shout about the spray guy and hope to catch up with you soon when we're both back on the road.
-
I would hope your bosses aren't reading this  As for VW technicians not being trained to work on a Corrado.... why is a FVWSH seen as so important when buying one
-
I think thats the best option, do it properly and don't take shortcuts.... you havent with the rest of your car so why start now  a little pic to prepare you for how bad it looks

Hi Toph, I am currently staying in Lisburn at the mo so only down the road. I am looking for someone to possibly do some plastic welding if your spray dude can give me a quote? Can't imagine why anyone would airbrush a womens face onto their car, would like to see the pics

Check out this post http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=39815&p=460421&hilit=#p460421 for the guide to doing the replacement without taking the dash out :D This right up was posted by the previous owner of my current Raddo and I can confirm my matrix is still working and all dash parts are intact 8) I replaced the matrix on my old valver (dash out) and it took me all day from early morning. It's not a hard job, just time consuming, although it gives you good opportunity to give everything a good clean and tidy up. Good luck with it whichever option you take :)

Thanks for the advice, I was under the car at the weekend fitting the exhaust, and had a look at the solid brake pipes and tbh they look fine :) Think I'll keep it as simple as possible and just upgrade the disc's, calipers, pads and braided lines.
-
Basically I put the trolly jack under the engine and lifted it just enough to support it, this should give you the chance to tighten the bolt.
-
I can see a reason to ban some plates, such as the NAZ plates in Northern Ireland where banned for fear of people having NAZ 1 and such like, but how is Snot offensive? The DVLA where smart enough to realize the BIG plates would fetch alot of money and sent BIG 1 straight to auction and raised a fortune doing so, i would deem that plate alot more offensive than Snot?
-
Thanks for the info mate, yes I am looking at replacing all the solid lines, though I plan on doing the exhaust this weekend, so are you saying i should wait and do the exhaust and rear pipes at the same time? Also what did you do for solid lines? Can you buy ready made items or is it a case of making your own?

Hi, I'm looking to do a complete overhaul on my braking system, disk, pads, calipers, hoses and pipes. I have done the obligatory search and got most of my information but would just like a few things confirmed before I carry this out. I plan to go 280mm g60 and want to know which disks and pads are the prefered choice? I am assuming it would be a Goodridge G60 hose kit that I would need to use with the G60 Calipers? What is the best way to replace all brake pipes? Part Numbers would be helpful too!! Is there anything else I should be doing at the same time, I plan to do my rear axle bushes too (hopefully), but anything else? Thanks in advance :)

Looking 8) mate, wouldn't mind seeing this sometime and possibly getting a quote for some minor work done to mine?

Just been reading through this whole thread, any updates???

Hi Toph, good to see another Rado on these shores, looks like your ready to get stuck into a nice little project there. Love C's in Red but the paint fade is a nightmare, respray is the only way to go. Like the sound of your plans, only other thing i'd look at is de-blinging the rear with a set of smoked red rears. Hope to see this about keep us informed :)
-
I'll buy your Raddo for 1k so your not out of pocket
-
Anyone know if a Magnex S/S exhaust that was fitted to a G60 will fit a 1.8 16v ? Any help appreciated.
-
You make it sound like wee buns....... if only

????? When you drive a van you do tend to spend alot of time on the motorway, and it's the other cars wanting to go 70+ who wonder why you don't put your foot down??
