 that 50/50 split looks the business, this is what i need doing to my C. Unfortunatley no time tonight just finished washing my car before a show tomorrow  -
My thoughts exactly, would rather go down to 9" on the rear but I love the dish  Can't decide what to do, and I only have 3x5" universal spacers on the front trying to decide how much i need, so i can't take it for a drive yet :brickwall:
-
A quick update now that I have dropped it. Still playing about with offsets and ride height but I am getting there apart from realising the rears are 10" instead of the 9" I had assumed :cuckoo: The rears have a 3" dish instead of the 2" thats on the front. Trying to work out whats best for the stance is driving me nuts

Have fun with a flaring tool and copper pipes :) I feel your pain  Copper lines should also be added to the list of parts as the chance of doing this upgrade without replacing these is very slim.
-
Sweet replacement mate, liking that alot 8)

The Eibach set up i have was slightly hard but not unbearable, although the handling was excellent. I had no complaints with that set up, the only reason i am changing is to go lower :) I might even change back over the winter months if the coils aren't to my liking.
-
I've just removed standard shocks and 40mm Eibach lowering springs and the ride was really good. I removed them for budget coilovers and I think i might regret it.

Still a good find buddy a couple of weeks to drive around and work out the probs, then tax it again and you should have any issues ironed ou by next MOT 8) Definatley looks like a good project for not alot of pennies
-
Sounds like a real bargin, and looking much better already. One thing I can't understand is surely tax discs till October 2009 arent issued till next month?
-
I recieved my pack within good time, thanks guys and hope you get the house sorted with minimal hassle.
-
Congrats, I know how it feels having had my Valver of the road for a year and a half, and finally getting it MOT recently. Enjoy the drive home tonight and then let the spending cotinue
-
Cheers mate was a good wee meet, and we should definately look into to something on a bigger scale  When i get my car sorted, how about a joint effort for the calendar :norty:

Might be a good idea to remove the glovebox, you can access the wires behind the stereo easily from there. It also allows you to get the stereo back in and route the wires properly so the stereo goes in without bunching the wires. edit.... beaten to it

Just to update this thread, I am about to change my suspension and found this helpful article on the interweb.... http://www.conrod.co.uk/susp.html

Cheers mate, been looking for a set of std ones for ages, but when i seen these in 3pce with the gold bolts I just had to have them :luvlove:
-
Know what it's like mate, took me weeks sorting out the exact parts i needed, you'll get there  Just been to VW today also to order up new splash gaurds (something to add to your list if your fussy  ) and the two I got had differing part numbers, one ending in B and the other in D, i can only assume they are sided, but afaik the calipers aren't. I bought mine 2nd hand so i don't know the part No. All Corrado rear brakes have the same Disc and pads unless they have already been upgraded. Remember new hex bolts that hold the carrier to the hub and also bolts that hold the carrier and caliper together just to add to your list

Golf Mk2 - Mk4 Rear cal/conversion. Part No.SVW0506-2P
-
Mate not sure whether it differs for VR or Valver? You have a VR as far as I remember, so might be worth checking. The kit I bought was a Goodridge Mk2 -Mk4 rear cal/conversion kit - Goodridge part no. SVW0506-2P I got them from C&R who where very helpful and also gave 10% forum discount :) I only used the one set of hoses from my 6 line kit so now have 4 hoses gathering dust as these aren't needed. The 6 line kit was 90 Corrado specific afaik cause i was also asked for my chassis number. I'd say give C&R a call, they know there stuff.

oi,less of the pj   i'm still very much in talks about a TT,but ya never know,if that fails i could be tempted, already been in touch we the seller, just a shame its so far away :( I'm in Northern Ireland mate, so if I can help in anyway give me a shout
-
Cheers Dec, looking at the pics of the H&R ones thats what I thought. Thanks for confirming :salute: Any idea where the best lace to buy is?
-
I've done a search but couldnt find an answer. I am trying to fit my new wheels and need to fit 10mm spacers on the front so they clear my 280mm brakes. I got 10mm spacers put on, but when I put the spigot ring on the spacer leaves the spigot ring sitting out too far and it has nothing to centre on. Will Hubcentric spacers resolve this problem or is there something else i can do? Cheers Gary
-
Yep standard disks pads and carriers, all you need is the calipers and hoses. :)

 Not you Andy someone called PJ

Cheers lads :salute:
