saw a Bordeaux, valver/VR6 just off the m56 into Wilmslow on Saturday. M** OBV? Funny, my first car was the M reg ending in OBV! but a fiesta! Flashed and waved :thumb right: thought it might have been someone on here, I know there is a similar C in stockport but upon investigation diff colour and reg (sorry cant remember username off hand) Lippy EDIT: Henny any chance that was your motor on its way down the A34 in Wilmslow toward Alderley about 5:15 ish tonight? sorry mate cant give you a more technical desc than that :oops: I will try and get some more info from my mechanic friend as I am pretty useless!

i too have had a similar problem on my valver, it was solved (not by me) by adjusting the idle timing screw (??) so that it kicked in when your foot was released from the throttle. Not sure about the economy improvements, but certainly seems to run smoother. Searching will show you that we aren't the only ones with this prob..........

Cheers! It was a great day, there was a few Teg's knocking about, the one in above driven by a friend from work. They really are rapid drivers machines, poised around the track and exceptionally quick - 220hp and 1100kg! My C went really well, quick through the corners, stuck to the road like a limpet - but I missed a bit of pace down the straights :( There was a great mix of cars there, I travelled down with some work colleagues driving some mean track cars VX220, 350Z, FTO, Teg DC5, Civic Type R, Rx-8 but I wouldnt say that I was outclassed, as I say need a little bit more legs down the straight!

Hi I have booked myself on a trackday in a couple of weeks and was wondering, as it would be my first, if anyone could recommend guidance/tips etc. What prep work should I do to my C to ensure that I dont cook something! not sure if this is quite relevant........ My HU and changer seem to get the hump when my immob kicks in. The HU forgets radio presets and where I am upto on my CD's. I also cannot eject the mag from the changer. Might be worth looking at your wiring to the perm live?? Sorry if way off the mark, still a newb :oops: :)

it was sodding cold!! thought it was likely to be the fuse, what is the best way to find out the offending item?

I noticed a problem with my spoiler last night not fully retracting after a drive of about 40 mins. I thought nothing of it, until I realised that my sunroof does not seem to work now. GRRR up until yesterday everything was working perfectly. I have had some minor electrical probs before, but this is the first time anything has "broke". What could be the cause of the both these electrical systems failing?? All other things seem fine, windows, stereo, lights etc drove to work this morning with no issues!! Can anyone help?? either way could be a cheap way for me to upgrade my valver to a vr6! not been there, cant afford that, but have a t shirt! ;)

The only downer is that I had to pay someone to get an official certificate written up, be worth it at re-sale (I'm trying to convince myself!) Well I'm still waiting to be spotted its mainly Rado's from darn sarf! Seen a couple recently 1) Nugget yellow G60? Parked in Handforth Dean off A34 2) Mystic blue storm (luvverly motor) in Wilmslow 3) Red unknown model, in Tesco at Handforth Dean, poss the same one seen in Trafford Centre during Xmas period Keep an eye out for me! Hello My Corrado is due a service soonish, I have a relative who is a mechanic and have trusted him with my previous cars. How important would you say is getting a VAG specialist to service the Rado @ 92k? Shes got a FSH to date, is it important to keep that going for future resale value? I have looked over the documents on the site (kudos to all who inputted) but am still not sure what is the best thing to do! Cheers Lippy

hello, pictures below of my alarm key fob, sorry the quality is a bit naff, taken of my mobile phone :roll: the two buttons have a symbol, one is an arrow (i dont know what this does !!!). The other is an A with radar type lines which enables/disables alarm and immob. Any info on make and model would be appreciated. Cheers Andrew
