mine wasnt skimmed when i got my hg replaced (it wasnt knackered i was having the head rebuilt)

how are you goi9ng to make the vr produce any decent torque at silly revs? even with 268s mine started dropping at 5500 and was pretty crap at 6800

afaik the top end revs at half the speed of the bottom end not 100% on that though 0k is a fookin lot for a vr hehe i thought the hard rev limit was 7500??

Have a look on the 12v VR6 forum on Vortex, I think someone's organsing a DR cams group buy, so they must have a contact e mail or something. i may well be selling my 268 cams soon if your interested

iv been twice the first time i got 153 bhp atw and 198 corrected which was 29% iv always thought that was high a few weeks back i had mine remapped for the charger i got 255 atw 303 corrected which is 18% -

its more the % thats high 30 % is more than 4wd i wouldnt trust the corrected figures mate 163 bhp at the wheels is ok but not fantastic my 2.8 golf made 178 bhp and 175 lb ft at the wheels with no schrick but did have 268 cams (for sale soon i think if any1s interested) ps the chipped golf figures and graphs look spot on (little point chipping a stock obd2 vr imho) your graphs look fine too -
agreed and the vr sounds better :twisted: but i think he wants to be different

if thats ur motor in the pic its obd1 (afaik obd2 didnt come with the plastic arch kits) and yes chargers are the mutts nuts and the best bang per buck by miles -
i am and it does boom a little at 2k rpm it has an angry rumble at tickover makes a really nice vr purr below 2k open it up and it sounds feckin evil :twisted: :twisted:

whart state are your pistons in?? how about getting a knackered 2.8 bottom end boring it to 2.9 new rings your pistons etc?

VR6 Short runner intake, would anyone be interested in one ?

i heard it has a weird piston arrangement the pistons dont do straight down the track of the conrod but are offset to keep the bottom of the bores apart result being it may not be any bigger than the r32 which means i want 1!!! with a supercharger!!!!!

i may be miles off here but 500 sounds alot for hg? i sourced the bits myself (think it cost about 70 for gasket and new bolts) got 268 cams new valve seals new tappets and dont think i payed more than 400 labour all in but my memory is useless so i may well be tottally wrong lol
