sounds like a good theory to me id put money on a sensor beuing screwed cam or hall sender maybe? as i beleive the ecu goes into safe mode and runs rich as hell im sure some1 will correct me though

its annoying as hell trying to drive normally but get over 4k at wot and it just howls lol the vid doesnt capture the sheer volume. im waiting for the gasket to fix it lol

mine (2.9 golf obd2) did the same thing 3 days on the trot imho its VERY unhealthy mine was due to the bored out throttle body i had iv since refitted my stock tb and its fine again 1100 rpm on the nose for 10 secs or so then settles at around 800 till its a bit warmer

the schrick vgi gives a huge increase in midrange torque starting from around 2500 rpm. when it gets to 3k it surges like a small turbo till it reaches 4k rpm then it switches and flows more like a normal vr my golf gained 80 lb ft at 3500 rpm unmapped! it made 235 lb ft at 3500
