best thing to do if you can is get the coilpack off and inspect it for cracks use silicone sealent to cover the cracks up let it dry for a day or so then try it in the car

mines unwrapped atm and iv had no probs untill i put the cat back on lol ps im getting it wrapped though so i would if i were you BEFORE you fit it hehe -

mine isnt wrapped atm and when i had the cat back on for mot it melted the plastic throttle body elbow pipe so badly a small pipe fell through it lmao -

fat test is a timed run from 4k to 6500 rpm in 3rd gear a golf vr limiter cuts in at 6200 iirc it was approx £400 but it IS worth every penny as much for piece of mind that the fueling is spot on as much as the power gain -

yes iv had a custom remap i basically ran the new cams and tappets in didnt drive it hard when i got to mrc (who did the remap) he did a fats test which is 4k to 6200 rpm in 3rd it came out at 9.7 secs iirc after the remap it was 9.1 and the limiter was reset to 6800 he did remove the limiter once and i bottled it when the needle went off the 7k rpm clock lol apparantly it went to 7100 and was still making power hehe -

if ur running cams without a remap this could be a big part of the problem im running 268 cams on my obd2 golf (stock flywheel) and it drives and idles perfectly even BELOW tickover (16mph in 5th is smooth and easily drivable) -
6200 for golf vr6 im not sure but i think rado is 6500

im not gonna do its cold as i NEVER use wot or go over 3k rpm till the oils over 70 its easy to get 99.9 mpg by doing over 2k rpm then coasting in gear as u dont use any fuel watsoever

i had this problem on my obd2 vr try cleaning the throttle body with carb cleaner

i did another rr day but my front suspension was screwed it qwouldnt stay on rollers came out at 130 whp and 189 corrected and pre cams and remap it made 153 whp with 198 bhp and 187 lb ft corrected
