I am just about to install the sub enclosure and I am wondering whats the best way to do this? Cheers Phil

I lost my clips whilst taking the door card off last night, has anyone found an alternative they can use??
-
I'll have it mate, save me forking out for a whole new cable!

Does it pull to the left? I have the exact same problem with mine. It only started since it was lowered but I am pretty sure the tracking is out which won't help matters

Just don't do what a mate did and use Kiwi shoe polish on them. As you can imagine he destoryed many clothes

I'm afraid you'll never get speakers to sound brilliant without being powered by a dedicated amp no matter how expensive they are. The quoted power on Headunits is often rubbish a 4x50 watt is more likely 4x10 watts basically they can't provide enough power to drive speakers without some distortion occuring. I would consider getting a separate 2ch amp just for the fronts else you'll never be happy with the puny headunit amp.

a carbon sunroof??
-
No, i never do keep them in my pocket. It's only started doing it at the start of the year. Before then the previous battery lasted over 2 years....

I'm stumped mate. I might take it to a vehicle electrician and see what they think.

I have just been looking at the manual and it does state 12v so i'll stick with that. At this rate the duracell share prices should shoot up!
-
Looks like i use the same battery type then.... it must be something in the alarm itself that is draining the battery?? I might try the 1.5 volt that you mentioned and see if that works!

I have been having never problems with my scorpion alarm. At the moment it's going through one battery at the rate of every two weeks  . This makes me wonder whether im using the correct type of battery? I'm currently using a duracell MN21/23 and another battery with the codes 23A, VA23A, MS21/MN21 marked on it. Is this the correct type??? Thanks Phil

Thanks for the suggestions guys. New gearbox mounts and engine mounts are definately gonna get replaced this year along with a magnex exhaust. As far as I know the mounts and exhaust are originals and the car has covered 131k so it's probably due a change. Does anyone have a rough estimate of how much it would cost to replace all the mounts, exhaust and bushes at Stealh?

I think its more of a drivetrain/exhaust noise. The car only does it when stationary

I only just recently I have noticed that my car randomly clonks when I blip the throttle. Sometimes it sounds like a bang. It tends to happen when the car is hot. The first time I noticed it was when I put the car in reverse and I heard a loud clonk/bang I intially thought I reversed into something but the noise was obviously coming from the car. When I had my car up on ramps a couple of months ago the mechanic noticed that the gearbox mount was seeping out a thick glooey like substance. But i'm not sure this is the problem because the car does it when it isn't in gear... Would an exhaust backfire cause a sound like this? Suggestions please! Edit: the car is a VR6

URGENT: Help needed with disabling the Scorpion alarm
Cnut replied to Cnut's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Problem sorted! Turns out it was only the battery. The old battery had enough power to light the led but not send a signal to the alarm but I managed to break the fob whilst removing the cover! Does anyone know where to get a fob replacement from? I phoned Scorpion and got rudely told "OBSOLETE" not the best customer service I have ever experienced! -
Not the best start to a Monday morning, My alarm fob appears to have stopped working, it's still flashing but it isn't deactivating the alarm and unlocking the car. I can still unlock the car using the key but this doesn't stop the alarm, and the immobiliserr is still active so I can't start the car. What is the best way to deactivate the alarm and immobiliser as a temporary measure so I can actually use my car again. The car is a 95 vr

Don't sell it! It looks lovely! It would make sense to sell the recaro's separately as you will make more money but you would have to buy some replacements so the gain is not much at the end of the day plus it would probably sell far easier with the recaros anyway...

No the revs drop to normal and i averaged 32mpg on a long run last weekend whilst the temp was sitting at 70 degrees
