Things that have gone wrong and then fixed themselves.......
bristolbaron replied to Andy665's topic in General Car Chat
wingmirrors done this in the valver. 3 months of not working and one day they did again! wierd. My drivers door handle has broken.. im giving it till thursday to fix itself, or it'll never get pulled again!! -
i would go AA. Rac have just been taken over by norwich union, so their call centres are moving to india. The callout process is expected to take longer - was being told last night by friend who'll be made redundant within 6 months.

you had a private plate on a metro!??!!!

4 bbs fit perfectly in the boot, with the parcel shelf out. stacked to roll, not led flat. there seems to be less room with the seat folded! you then just need tyres in the back and candles in the front! Is there a birthday cake to go with them candles?!

i bought a 16v last november.. sold it in april to buy a G60! the 16v isn't particularly slow off the lights, but i dont find the g60 particularly quick off the lights. 50mph+ is where you really notice the difference. for town driving i found the 16v easier, you can be a lot lasier with gear changes. i do alot of 'A' road driving and just didnt find the 16v up to the job. parts will cost more on the G, and insurance isnt cheap. I do however find my G better for fuel economy!? Good luck with the search.

dont wait. do it NOW!! I bought my g60 from a mate. it had done 96k when he bought it. the charger had never been serviced. he planned on getting it done within the month. it blew up the day after purchase! i was in the car at the time - and thought i was gonna see a grown man cry

J*** OKO, blue 16v,.. went and said hello to owner, gave forum address, he said he was gonna check us out. payrise for new girl! i was well impressed.

today i broke my drivers door handle. anyone got a passat rear!? -
im guessing it has already been repaired? if not, its worth considering the front bumper can be a bugger to get straight after a smash.

Opinions or advice on MK4 Golf 2.8V6 4MOTION ?
bristolbaron replied to BigTartanJudge's topic in General Car Chat
i really dont like the anniversary kit. too girly! r32 kit imo.. but spec sounds sweet! -
CW off topic!? never! I was planning to get luminous yellow alcantara centres, with woolen outers. know any suppliers of good wool?! :-P nah, was for the 16v. it had leather, but i was thinking about doing a sub install in alcantara as acoustic cloth is stupidly expensive. in the end i shelled out £20 for a roll of AC. A decent trade supplier of acoustic cloth i would be interested in.

i'd buy one if i had the money! coilovers are a must though. -
i checked with a local material shop about this, they normally sstock it, but didnt have any in. prices were reasonable - about £8 per meter and was 1.5m wide, so could do headlining.
