  1. prev owner must have been a real sheister! now get on with ordering a loom!!
  2. if you only have one set of infinitys you wont see much benefit in buying a second set, and another amp for the rear. i'd recommend fitting the fronts and the sub, seeing how you get on and then maybe buying a decent set of midrange for the rear. tweeters in the rear would get lost, so I wouldn't bother fitting comps in the back.
  3. Anyone know if theres any probs using speaker wire designed for home systems in a car? I've got some decent quality Gale wire, just thinking of using it to save buying more car wire? cheers, Baz.
  4. WOAH!! i forgot how good it looks clean!! looks great in the pics mate, i'm gutted.. had to change my sig pic yesterday too.
  5. blue rado with m3 style rear lights in cheshire on traffic cops, BBC 1!!
  6. pulled up next to an Exige at the lights today, at junction of very quiet, long stretch of dual carridgeway. he looked over, i looked back. we both looked at the lights. First Gear: WWWWAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH.... close, he has slight edge. Second Gear: WWWWAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHH... i'm gaining.. FIFTH Gear: B***ocks.. i look a d**khead. to add insult to injury, i then get undertaken by a Citroen C2, driver laughing. sorry guys, i'm not worthy.
  7. which feature ? this is NOT the ups car PVW were supposed to feature the UPS car last year - just after the paris show?- but never got round to it... the same in next months page that promised A20 LEE's car months ago too! good to hear thats finally happening though.
  8. Phil K, if pvw ever actually did that feature then we'd know!
  9. :offtopic1: there will never be an agreement of personal opinions of all people on the forum, let alone the rest of the world. One thing i would say for the forum is we all seem a decent bunch with our heads screwed on and only tend to put the foot down in sensible places. the odd person who brags about a 100mph+ run tends to get slated. It is widely excepted that the younger driver is more likely to make rash decisions whilst driving. I have overtaken a few times on my 'A' road journey to work and later thought 'that could have waited' I would also acknowledge andy's comments about the older driver and alcohol. most of my friends (early 20's) won't even have one beer and drive, however my boss, dad, stepdad and many others i know in the 40-60 age bracket, all decent members of society, still think its acceptable to have a couple of stellas before getting in the car.
  10. Hey, I get enough of that at work  I do need to have the seat right to the floor though! But of a coupe there really is a surprising amount of head and leg room  soz mate! at 6'2 i get loads of head and leg room. couldn't imagine anyone saying they're too small inside.
  11. ive never had to pay more for alloys! was insured through performance direct, now adrian flux, and neither have charged. time to change insurers?
  12. £160 for a Pioneer DVD headunit! bargain! Sorry did i say Pioneer?!
  13. sell sell sell!! You should know enough about the cars now to know if you're picking up a dog. Although anything could go wrong with a new motor, there could still be nasty surprises around the corner with yours.. If you were thinking about engine conversions it could get even more messy. HE-MANs VR6 at £3250 looked pretty tidy and there seems to be a few others around at the mo. Go for it mate.. but try and get an extra few quid anyway!
  14. 16vC, 6'7 woah!! your a giant! My standard leathers were great, leather to slide you across the seat, chunky leg bolsters to keep you in.. the G60 has cloth Recaro's, which have a very firm back support, but are still comfy. Have been considering finding a spare drivers seat to use as a computer chair!
  15. when your speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 67.63 mph calculator is on http://www.polo-gt.co.uk/ club polo website, in mech/tuning area. used to own a mk3 GT, so know the site well! Baz.
  16. Them crazy arabs.. saw a program about them once, they block of motorways at night in 4x4's, flood them with big time cars and go for it. more money then sense?.. would be lovely!
  17. loads (6+) in newquay (run to the sun) including full rieger kitted in red with massoove rims. beeped when in car, shouted 'RADDOOO' when on foot!
  18. i like.. looks a lot better than the badgeless grills that have the semi circle at the top to fill the gap where the badge sits.
  19. more likely one of those not so wierd set ups where the retailer is lying or mistaken
  20. i had a space saver as the spare in my 16v, but dont think that was standard. G60 had a bbs spare, but ive swapped for the saver, coz i wanted the boot floor flush for future install.
  21. J*** SDP, but its inca blue and i bought it from a friend who has owned it for a year. before then it was in a terrible state, based in oxford. the prev owner didn't look after it at all and need shooting, so we'll hop it wasn't you!! :2gunfire:
  22. don't know if they've changed but FK's used to come in e or non e marked, so worth checking. it'd be wirth checking if Tempest is planning another group buy on in-pro's before getting them, prices were very good on the last one, where i got mine.
  23. love the way jenks starts easy boys.. and then rips in to 'em! good lad.
