  1. http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=91227 get these bought quick!!!!!!!
  2. all depends how much they've got on.. i had one done whilst i waited as i drove the car down. the other i sent and advised i didnt need back in any hurry and it was there for a few weeks. give em a call tuesday..
  3. i saw that, but maybe if we all sent them at the same time it works out easier and therefore cheaper to do?! :confused4:
  4. i had a set done just at a local powdercoaters.. if you send them to a proper wheel refurbishers then £200 is a fairly good price! phone around commercial powdercoaters ner you, they'll have done wheels before.
  5. personally id just get the estorils off to a powdercoaters for sandblasting and powdercoat - they'll do an alright job and charge about £100..
  6. mine from gsf were fine - recaros, but dont think that makes a difference..
  7. Still dont understand what is meant by the bore??? - "The centerbore of a wheel is the size of the machined hole on the back of the wheel that centers the wheel properly on the hub of the car. Centerbores on wheels are typically a standard size by brand or size (measured in inches or mm). Hub sizes vary by vehicle brand and style. When this hole is machined to exactly match the hub so the wheels are precisely positioned, minimizing the chance of a vibration, it is said that the wheel is “hub centric”. Some wheels require centering rings [spiot rings] that lock into place in the back of the wheel in order to become hub centric and reduce the risk of vibration while driving. This is an acceptable alternative" Clios have a bore of 60.1, The Corrado is 57.1 therefore you can get a spigot ring to fit these wheels. If the wheel had a lower centre bore then the corrado you would have to have the bores machined out to fit [not worth bothering] And when you say the et?is that the offset? - Indeed. Offset is measured in ET. The lower the ET the further the wheels stick out into the wheel arch. You should match the ET as close as possible for standard fitment. If the wheels you are looking at are a ET42 a 10mm Spacer would be appropriate. You can play with this site too, http://www.rimsntires.com/rt_specs.jsp which will give you info about different wheel fitments, although it might be better understood once you have the basics!
  8. anyone wanna contact them about a group buy?
  9. trainers can cost more than £50 and im pretty sure they dont cost £20 to make.. get your wallet out tight arse!
  10. if you know anyone that likes the feeling of being sick in thier mouth i would recommend showing this to them.
  11. i bought soem a while back from gsf.. they were even in stock!
  12. yeah it's DubEnvy's car.. the wheels are commonly called porsche twists/dog legs/cup 3's etc. they are a 17" replica of a wheel porsche only ever produced in 18". they're not that uncommon to find, but not as available as D90's etc. £650 is a fair price if with tyres and refurbed.. got a link?
  13. bad news bud, but as others have said its just metal.. On monday I had to go to the funeral of a friend who was crushed by a bin lorry, i'd happily torch my car a million times over to have her back..
  14. and i thought octanes were bad.. this must be a late april fools gag..
  15. just been looking at a car on autotrader and wanted to check where it was.. remembered this handy webpage and thought i should bump the thread.
  16. please tell me this is a joke.
  17. http://www.carlsalter.com/wheel_fitments.html what do you want to spend?
  18. theres no click to order button! what a waste of time.. as a previous McLaren customer i deserve better!
  19. i'd go for a pair of 30mm spacers.. 20mm for the front isnt gonna get them out far enough, you'd get away with 25mm but only just..
  20. i bet it'll fly through an MOT
  21. easiest thing to do is get the whole arch lip cut out.. no worries then. how far out do you want the wheel rim to poke, or do you want it sat inside the arch? how much stretch do you want on the tyres?
  22. why would you consider anything but adaptors? the rest of the ideas are kinda crazy.. there are two sets on here for sale at the moment. you're gonna need new tyres too as what you have will be nowhere near fitting. i'd recommend 195/40s & 205/40s or 205/40 & 215/40 depending how you want the car to sit. You will need to cut the arches for the rears to fit if this hasnt yet been done. What are the wheel offsets? This is just as inportant as the other info you've given as to whether you can make this work.
  23. it's not worth spending money on rear speakers - put the extra towards front speakers and unplug the standard rears.
  24. cheers for the replies.. the size i need is 3mm as a 4mm wont go through the holes in the speaker.. why would i need T-nuts or anchor nuts rather than just standard ones?! Sorry, i dont know a lot about this sort of stuff!
