  1. Id love a blast in a 350z, i've fancied one for a few years now but they're out of my budget and are too small for me now! Maybe in a few years though! I cant offer any decent input having not driven either the 350Z or Z4, but I think based on what i've read and by looks alone i'd edge towards the Nissan! The new Z4 looks really smart, im sure most people have seen the new advert on TV - advert - not sure how good it'd be to drive though! As for Corrados as track cars, I agree with Dinkus, they're not the best suited cars (although also not the worst!) either way though it seems a shame to turn a goodun into a track beast! Finding a car that's suited to the track as well as being easy to live with daily is difficult! I think as far as an all rounder goes i'd be looking at a Lotus, they are AMAZING around a track, I would imagine they're not so great as dailies but certainly liveable! Might be worth considering as they've become quite affordable now. VAG 20VT lumps seem to be quite popular in them too! I thought of these pics when I read this thread, so i'll post them up :)
  2. Wow that looks fantastic, especially considering the mileage! :salute:

The older Mercs go on and on and on as well, there is a reason why most taxi's you see in Europe are Mercs! I had a few of them years ago and they were great cars! Unfortunately though the level of build quality isn't what it used to be with the newer ones :(
  4. Plus it's only done about 15k miles from new
  5. http://www.rk-engineering.co.uk/ I wouldn't use anyone else mate. EDIT - I've just had a wee look and there doesn't seem to be an address for them on their website  They're in St Agnes mate, and they have courtesy cars if you book in advance.
  6. Perhaps someone should tell them that then, as they're claiming to be the first in Europe in the FAQ bit of the site!
  7. Thats all well and good if you have the space to work on a car at home but a lot of people dont, especially in London or other built up areas where most people live in flats etc.
  8. I bet £10 an hour is a fair bit cheaper than decent garages charge in the same area though! I'd be very tempted to use one if there was one close to here, with relative pricing. I bet they'll make a killing tbh, especially from people who get half way through a job and get stuck, that could end up costing a fortune!
  9. Yeah I would imagine there's a mahooosive disclaimer form you'd need to sign before doing any work! Aside from the many potential flaws though, I think its a bloody good idea and i'm glad and surprised that the increasing amount of health and safety bollocks in this country hasn't stopped them from being able to open!
  10. Thats exactly it, or something like this happens but the car lands on whoevers cocked it up!
  11. http://www.pitstartgarage.com/ Could be a money spinner tbh! I can see it working but not without it's problems!
  12. My wife has deformed feet :gag:
  13. I've never broken a VR6 so maybe you'd get a bit more, but either way - i'd rather sell a car for £1000 than brake one for £1500, it's not worth the hassle/time/effort for any less than £500 more than you could sell it in one piece for IMO
  14. Maybe £1500-£2000 depending on how much you strip and whats bits its got. Braking a car is a pain in the ass though, so you have to factor in how much you value your time fighting to get parts/panels off, storing them, selling them, sending them etc etc - it's not as easy as it may seem :( Regarding selling your car, the only advice I can give is to try and make it look as standard as possible, standard grill/lights/wheels etc will all make it more appealing. I think as time goes on more and more people are looking for standard Corrados as opposed to modded ones, so to increase your chances of a sale you're better off trying to appeal to the wider audience so to speak! Good luck with it either way though mate!
  15. Get an A4 Avant TDI, they're awesome cars! :smug:
  16. Guys, this isn't a thread in the classifieds!
  17. 5th Gear contacted the forum asking for a VR6 for the shoot, James28 was first off the mark and available at short notice 8)
  18. LOL, well done, when you actually read the original post there's no mention of the car being a storm! If it's a 92 VR6, then I spose it's worth scrapping for £2k once you've removed a few choice bits!
  19. This is one of the big reasons the car scrappage scheme is a terrible idea! Under the scheme, the car WILL be scrapped, its against the law for the dealer not to make sure its scrapped, rare example of a classic in the making or not!
  20. Awesome! It's not every day you get a chance like that! Glad you enjoyed it, the car looks great!
