  1. Should cost £20 insured
  2. To be fair, I think most people on here gave up buying it years ago so no-one will have seen it  Its a terrible mag, and is indicative of how the VW Scene has changed for the worse over the last few years. Last time I bought it I was literally blown away at just how bad it was, it was embarrassing to read.
  3. I think both of those are the same thing mate, but neither are anything to do with He-Man
  4. They're two different people/companies as far as I know - He-Man gave up selling them a while back I think, and I dont think TCS uses the site. It does seem strange that he can find all these low mileage examples (not that im suggesting they're not genuine!) when they're obviously not being picked up from the normal avenues (i.e. ebay/autotrader/local papers/pistonheads/forums) which leaves very little sources other than his ;'wanted' adverts everywhere. Best of luck to him though, I cant see why people have a problem with him trading really!

    Im Back

    Any updates on this please?
  6. Man, that merc looks lush  I love it! Just needs lowering and a set of nicer wheels and you have yourself a nice retro wagon! Nah, I realise what its for and fair play your rados looking awesome in that pic! hope she enjoys her semi-retirement!
  7. Yeah, being a small island you can pick up some low mileage cars from the rock! And they're all loaded out there so they're usually well maintained and cheap to buy! I only looked as far as my insurance, but they were fine with insuring me on it to drive it back - as far as the tax and MOT go, I would have thought that if you have all the documents to say you've just bought it, and you're insured, then you *should* be OK tbh! Being the responsible moderator I am though I would have to recommend you speak to the DVLA to get concrete information on it though mate, make sure you know you're above board before driving it on public roads!
  8. Thats awesome tbh! Interesting that they've lowered it though, its almost like an admission from VW that standard ride height looks ridiculous!
  9. Its fairly simple I think dude, just buy it and when you get it over here and it's been registered in your name you can tax and MOT it.
  10. hmmmmm, laternator - I think my old metro had one of those, it used to take ages to start! Have you tried on the MK2 forums for the brackets matey?
  11. Yeah, but was that when you were coasting down a biiiiiiiig hill with the wind behind you?

\ cliché Have you checked the hairdressers forums mate? could be a few for sale on there! /cliché I have to say, im not really a fan of the old shape but the new ones are stunning! they do look like the R8's little brother 8)
  14. Fantastic! Thanks very much for the offer! As you say, the Wiki is a great source of information and definitely sets this forum apart from the majority of others i've used, I can only wish the T4 forum had one similar! It might be best to send a PM to Andi (admin) to see if/how you can help as he runs the technical side of things on here :thumbleft:
  15. Oh, and i'd agree with Phil, i'm not sure that prices will rise significantly...... .....
  16. What is it with the constant .......'s ?? I thought that was an E38 thing...... .........
  17. My 'relationship' with rados has been a strange one tbh. My first rado was a low mileage black 95 8v that I bought years ago and owned for a long while, it was immaculate in every way, a stunning car :smug: . I regularly had people stop me in the street to ask me if i'd sell it to them - there was just something about it that set it apart from other cars including other Corrados, in the end I gave in and sold it to a lady that still owns it now (some 4 years later) when she made an offer I couldn't refuse (financial of course! :norty: )and I naively thought I could just replace it with a better rado, or get a similar rado and pocket the change. I've since gone through more than I care to count, trying to make each one as good a car as my first and it's just never happened, I still miss that 8v terribly :camp: . I sold my last one to make way for a more family orientated car about 8 months ago. For a long period it didn't bother me but within the last couple of months i've started hankering after another. I know full well i'll have another rado, but i'm happy to wait for the 'right one' to appear. Trying to fix one up to make it as good as my first just wont work, I need to find one with very low mileage that's been owned by someone whos given it as much care/attention/maintenance as I did. There's something special about them, hence why so many of us are still here having sold up, and why so many people sell up and end up returning having gone through various newer more expensive cars. Love live the rado :camp:
  18. http://www.audi.co.uk/audi/uk/en2.html Not sure how long it'll last? My Audi needs an MOT at the moment so i've just saved myself £50 :smug: I'll be asking on the phone whether I need to have any work needed done at the dealers though, cos they dont make that clear that I can see
  19. Agreed, it looks like a lovely example! Keep me in mind if you decide to sell it  It really does need a drop though, if you do it properly with some quality components and dont go lower than 35-40mm it shouldn't compromise ride quality much and wont ground out, and it'll make all the difference to how it drives and looks! :) Enjoy the blast oop norf!
