..beam will go in the back of a cok?
-
I used to have a bash at doing things myself because I didn't have any choice, as I didn't know any garages that wouldn't : A. Take one look at the Corrado and say " ooooooh, not one of those sciroccos, they're a nightmare mate " B. Charge stupid amounts of money for labour which made everything too expensive to fix C. Do a rubbish job and be happy to give the car back to me having been bodged. Since moving to Cornwall and finding RKE ( St Agnes 01872 553839 :D ) i'm more than happy to let them do anything that needs doing to my cars safe in the knowledge that they're going to do a top job and not charge the earth.

A European production car with a NA engine that produces 100bhp per litre (or more) from 2 litres or less? Is there any?
-
Sorry, but it wasn't me who fixed it in the end - the guy I sold it too managed to get to the bottom of the problem, I only knew that it turned out to be something to do with the fuel lines because i'm just about to buy the car back from him  Have you managed to get it sorted ?

...and is generally driven by a balding midle aged accountant.

Well done for not just sticking it back on Ebay anyway mgbv8mike, very honest of you! Hopefully Karma will re-pay you :) ..oh and do let us know if a load of Nintendos and mobile phones etc turn up at your place from Aberdeen won't you!

Allthough I do agree that G60 prices seem to be holding better than Vr6 prices, I personally wouldn't give anywhere near £3k for a G60 with this sort of mileage and with a charger in need of a service. However, I said that to JezzaG60 recently when he was selling his Burgandy Pearl G60 with 160K and he managed to get £2350 for it and his didn't have an interior worth £1K. I would agree with Goldie, you would probebly be better off selling the interior seperately to maximise the ammount you get.

I had a little 'play' with an XK8 on the A303 acouple of weeks back, I was in a 2.0 16V, he left me for dust

I'd deffinately agree with that, especially nice straight examples as they're becoming more and more rare

Yeah, it could maybe be the glow plug relay? Here's the thread I started when I had the problem .... http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... el+problem

I had this problem with my old non turbo diesel MK3 and it turned out to be a problem with the fuel lines. Best of luck with sorting it out blackcat

I didn't use anything on mine.

Never mind Top Gear, when are you going to charge the valver?
-
If you have the original owners handbook the colour code sticker is in there too.
-
Yep, pretty much every Corrado i've had has been like that - come to think of it - every VW i've had that's been pre - 1999(ish) has been the same :?

Advice on lumpy, erratic 2.0 16v - being a bit crap again..
Walesy replied to Jim's topic in Engine Bay
OT - but regarding the MPG - it really does seem to vary from car to car. My current valver is returning around 5 MPG less than my last one, using the same roads/fuel etc etc - there must be something going wrong there surly. I was getting around 33MPG average on my last one, and around 28MPG from the current one :(
