  1. I'm liking those mini wheels on the black MK2 :) ( http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... hlight=18s )
  2. What a great offer! I'm sure there's alot of members that would love to get out to see Russia, however it's a long way and would work out very expensive to take the Corrados I think :( Best of luck with it!
  3. We have a 'spotted' thread for just this sort of thing :)
  4. Yeah, the visibility to the rear isn't any good for me and i'm 6ft and a bloke! :)
  5. Sorry matey  - i've had a couple of beers i'm afraid! - still no excuse for skim reading! What I would say then, is get a Corrado but keep it pretty standard, if they're in original condition they're very nice to drive, sort of a compremise between new/boring and your Mk2 (by the sound of it) The steering isn't heavy (but is also not too light!) , standard brakes aren't the bees knees but are enough to stop a standard car!, and all Corrados have hydraulic clutches so they're very light indeed! Have a test drive of a couple of nice ones, you'll end up buying one! There's quite a few female owners around , some on here, but I also see alot of Corrados being driven by middle aged women who don't particulary look like te racing type - so they can't be that hard to drive :)
  6. Hi , welcome aboard etc I taught my wife to drive in my fettled G60 and she's driven Corrados ever since and loves them. Without meaning to imply that you're being sexist - I see absolutely no reason a female should find driving a Corrado any different to a man driving one, it will be all down to personal taste/driving ability etc IMO P.S - Get some pics and info up of this low mileage VR6 for us all to drool at then! :)
  7. R@RE!!1111!!! l@@k!!1111ONEoneoneonethousandonehundredandeleven!!111
  8. Yeah, true enough - i'm waiting for a month or two before putting up our MK3 Cabby as it'll sell easier then.
  9. If you're going to get one i'd try and do it ASAP as they'll be more expensive in a couple of months. Timg60 on here's got one with a kr fitted, he'll probebly know what to look out for mate
  10. If the car hasn't been clayed before you might be suprised at how much schitt will come off when you do it. Awesome looking rado meight! :)
  11. They're all wired up to close the P/S window and sunroof before the D/S window, and you can't opperate both windows at the same time The early Corrados (16V + G60) have total closure fitted as standard but it won't operate the sunroof ( not really TOTAL closure I spose! :?) The late Corrados (16V,8V + VR6) have total closure fitted as standard and it'll operate the sunroof too. If you have a 'J' reg then I suppose it'll depend on whether you have the late interior or early interior ? If you have a late Corrado that doesn't have Total Closure then I suppose it might be down to your alarm not having that facility?
  12. I did say 'IMO' there.. In My Opinion :) Some people love the 16V, it's just not my cup of tea. I did the same as you and bought a valver thinking it would save me money, but i'd recomend the 2.08v rado for people looking for a cheap daily hack because its such an economic engine, it might not be the quickest of cars but it's not *that* much slower than the 16v, it's only really the top end that you feel the difference with the 16v.The 8v is also pretty much bomb proof in my experience of them. With regards to the engine conversion, you're asking the wrong guy mate - like I said, i'll have to wait untill I can afford to pay for the conversion to be done cos i'm no good with spanners etc  Supercharged on here has a TDi Corrado with a PD engine.
  13. It has been done matey, and it's what i'll have when I can afford the conversion! I get around 28ish from my 16V, i've got better MPG out of my G60's and they were all fettled and had far more power. Like Jim said, they also seem to get around the same MPG as the VR6, if not less :? I bought my 16V to try and keep my running costs down, it's been a pig to fault find on and cost me far more to run than my previous rados. All in, it's not a great engine IMO :(
  14. Absolutely not! Get in contact with him and tell him that he's damaged your car!!
  15. Only messin mate, you're probebly right you'd easily get around £1500 I would have thought due to the low mileage
  16. Yeah, looks nice Stan - shame about all those doors but then it's a second car so we'll let you off

    body panels

Sorry to hear that mate :(
  18. Your car shouldn't use any water, i've never had to top any of mine up ( apart from when the head gasket went ) Do your windows steam up when the car's left? - it could be the heater matrix maybe?
  19. I can't stand things like that mate, you've made sure the cars all clean etc and stood there waiting for him to arrive with the anticipation that you might have sold the car for him to not even bother turning up, what a git!. Lets hope he's bought a right lemon instead!

    Secret computer!

I like the adjustable wiper, and the secret computer - but the hidden 'reliability mode' switch is the best one!
  21. I wouldn't change the suspension or exhaust - describe them as being 'uprated' rather than 'modded' Other than that I reckon it would be worth putting back to standard, as in the front grill , wheels , the consmetic things like that.
