.....well the handbook says 145  but...........given that the MFA oil temp only goes up in even increments this is impossible really :?
-

-
dunno who the owner of the VR that he hammered was but.............pretty sure the VR in his pics belongs/belonged to one of the forum members...........akacheesy IIRC :?: i thought i recognised the EFC number plate funny....cos it was the K444 that got my brain working overtime
-

i take it jedi has had the suspension geometry done tho?.........as mine was pretty skittish when i first had the coil-overs on.............and once i had the suspension geometry done a week later it was perfect..even tho the suspension was only just out of the tolerances prior to getting it sorted -
sure this has done the rounds before and IIRC its a photo-chop of a BMW compact or something non-VW
-
never heard of it tbh.........but if its anything like the rubber paint that went on to my leather seats to give them the "as good as new" look then i would avoid it........best getting the dash done in leather if you want to get the WOWWW factor i'm sure A20 LEE could advise you as to how much this would cos approx but tbh i wouldn't do it in Beige
-
me no likey!!! :D ...........though tbh if SEAT did make a 2 door Leon it would be what you would imagine a mk2 Corrado would have looked like
-
tbh if i was looking for a Corrado and MPG was one of my main priorities,as much as the VR6 is reasonably economical given its near 3L engine size............its also an engine that costs a fair bit to put right and unless you get one thats been totally pampered and just had everything replaced recently, then paying a tad more fuel over any of the 4cyl n/a choices is worth looking in to......however in reality probably the best one to go for is the 2.0 8v......or one of the 16 valvers
-
2.0 8v is something like group 15 or 16.....IIRC its actually higher up the groups than the more powerful 1.8 16v
-
yeah i can remenber filling up my B-reg XR3i when i first got it (1990)for the grand sum of £12 too........(just when the low fuel light was on........even a XR3i had that).............8.8gals IIRC was the tank capacity now it would cost nearly three times as much
-
tbh sounds like yer coolant temp sensor...............£10-ish for part and under 30 mins labour charge
-
he should have heard by now then..............if he hasn't tho........the chances are he better do something quickly
-
and of course NO SPEEDING!!!(where appropriate of course) :( :(

Xmas/New year will be fun for me..........first the missus's SportKa runs out end of Dec.....so £140-ish then a month later the C needs taxing
-
Isn't the RX8 a 1.3? something like that........but.........the RX8 is taxed on its Co2 levels as its a fairly new car IIRC the Co2 tax levels came out 2-3 years ago and its only pre 2000/2001cars that have the two tier road tax.......upto 1500cc and over 1501cc or something like that
-
uncanny! in 1992 i was driving a x-packed mk2 escort!!!! i liked it. but i must have looked like a right chav hey don't knock the X-pack'd range of 70's Fordies  .........they arer quite retro-cool now 8)
-
well half-way through a "plate" year  ....afterall it is March and September that the plate changes are so months 3 and 9 respectively...........why on earth they couldn't just do a proper month 1 and 7change about is beyond me........
-
bloody hell  1992 ........into my 2nd year of XR4i ownership then  ......and just a year before i bought my 924S the first time

depending on what discs you use................ i have Ate Power grooves on the front of mine £60-ish(a pair) from Euro-car-parts..matching Ate pads(£15-ish).....so with labour at approx 30mins a side.....easy £100-£120 for the fronts all in(parts labour and VAT) now for the rears as well as the discs and pads you are as well replacing the rear wheel bearings(£15-ish per side) and also the ABS rotor cages(£10ea) so it costs a bit more to do......but the rear discs are a bit cheaper for the pair so budget on so that should come to £125-ish on parts plus labour of approx 2+ hours as mentioned above

servicing and suppliers for this

Lindsey Porter manual is probably yer best bet.........covers Polos/Golfs/Jettas and the Corrado to.......the Bentley manual tbh will be next to useless for you as it only really covers the US spec G60 and VR6's btw i'll move this to common corrado Q's
