  1. err don't you mean a 127???  ..............the 126's were those ickle wee air-cooled rear engined jobbies and IIRC they never did a Sport, whereas they did do a 127 GT
  2. IIRC its hooked up to a machine which then empties it and weighs it...........if there is a massive discrepency then you normally have a leak somewhere, there's natural wastage too so thats taken into account
  3. deffo a blonde moment.....................as there was a lovely blonde lady on the TV when I was posting..........Honest
  4. d'oh blonde moment    http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... 879&hilit= that better :D
  5. here's your original thread btw..............what a difference eh :D
  6. I had a similar thing when buying my 993...........although I was friendly with the guy selling it so that helped a lot,I basically put his plate on to retention and put my plate on,all within a day or two...........you just go to your local DVLA office with all the relevent docs and fee.........if you can trust the buyer to put it on retention and then sign it over to you when the new docs come through thats probably the easiest, otherwise you'll have to do it the long-winded way, best thing to do is speak to your local DVLA office as I'm sure this happens a lot
  7. they're much and such the same power output and are both injected(all Corrado's are btw) performance-wise I think the 1.8 KR has the edge............down to the fact the 2.0(is an Audi engine)is strangled a bit with its cat.........tho the bulk of the 2.0 16v's do have the better more modern interior, all 1.8's will have the early interior.............they should be slightly better performance than your mk2 GTI but not massively so(the Corrado weighs a bit more)
  8. deffo worth saving up for tho.........it'll really set them off with the caps 8)
  9. very nice..............they BBS RZ's or similar??
  10. just co-incidence they both were Tornado red and grey leather  quite a rare combo as normally if Tornado Red has leather its of the black variety............certainly looks a lot better than the other one too, must be strange for you not having a silver one
  11. obviously not  http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=57743
  12. this the one from the Scottish borders(deceased owner etc??)
  13. mean looking?????..............sorry but its too chavvy looking
  14. it will have 3 slats if its a later one(depending on if its the original grille it will only have one of the slats open, replacement ones generally have all the slats open) and 7 slats if its an early one,ALL VR6's,2.0 16v's and 2.0 8V' Corrado's should have the 3 slat one
  15. sorry but thats a pet hate of mine............seeing bumpers cut like that for an i/c...........especially on S2 RS Turbo's totally ruins the look of that car and it looks like doing it to a Corrado is almost as bad..........car looks quite nice otherwise tho
  16. £50 per BHP!!!!!!!! approx going by current exchange rates
  17. there's 2 temp sensors btw........one for the ECU and the other for the gauge..........best get it checked on VAG-COM to see which one you've to replace(tho the guage one won't have any effect on starting)
  18. stunning work as ever Nathan 8) ..............especially love that 993GT2...............how much are they asking for it btw........last one that was up for sale was up for £130k ex Chris Harris (t'was a right-hooker tho)
  19. if its a VR it sounds like the temp sensor is kaputt
  20. pretty sure its only a £30 non endorsable fixed penalty
  21. times I really do wish the Classic green Storms came with Black leather, looks very classy IMHO nice price for low-ish miles and condition btw
  22. looks more like classic green than dragon to me
  23. sounds lovely..........Panther Black 20valver yip I can go for that.........first choice would be Tornado Red for me tho
  24. UR i take it you mean.............mine was a Lago Blue D-plate ex Vic Sang(owner of Champers Nightclub lower Deeside road) D697BRS..........I had it from 95-96 my Storm originally came from Edinburgh and I bought it in 2001
  25. after having to sell my UR-quattro due to pressure from the missus I vowed if ever there was another car that appealed to me as much as that, that I would never sell it unless there was no other alternative.............thats why after nearly 6years of ownership I still have my Storm..........prior to that the longest I ever owned a car was 2 1/2 years, thats how I've managed to avoid the pain and anguish your going through Gav
