  1. there's a £2 surcharge if you pay via credit card, but there is no surcharge if you pay via debit card...............I used it for the past 2 years on all my cars and it saves waiting in queues
  2. or P for those late registered ones but the plate can't be newer than the vehicle it goes on................so if you had a M-registered Corrado you couldn't put a N-reg on it,but you can put on a L-reg or older one
  3. also you might need to align them a few times to get a perfect fit
  4. FWIW Ive had the screw missing on one of my discs for the past 5years.........never had a problem putting wheels on or taking them off
  5. they are held on by the wheel nuts and 1 securing screw............chances are this could well be missing tho........but the disc will spin unless the car is in gear
  6. to be fair on him he struck me as quite a genuine guy.............he bought parts off me a few months before xmas and was easy to deal with,I know he's quite busy with his work(heating engineer IIRC)
  7. ahhhh good old badge engineering.................must admit I have allways wanted whats considered the last real Abarth............the Strada 130TC Abarth 8)
  8. just late registered nothing more than that........would probably have been built the same time as those V reg ones you've seen not really genned up on my FIAT's but I thought it wasn't til the latest Grande Punto shape that the hi-performance Punto's are being badged as Abarth's........and that there was never such a thing as an Abarth Punto GT turbo, let alone a GT3
  9. red Corrado's and BBS RX's go so well together 8)

    VAG gauge pod.

more info here http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... uage+panel the instruction I had when I bought my first set were seemingly no use,the guy who fitted them didn't need them at any rate

    VAG gauge pod.

my guage panel is the very same one you have and its got individual connectors hooked up to it(was fitted by a head VW tech as a casher),and 3+ years later I've had no problems other than the original guage's decals peeling off,so just get a few female connectors to fit and it should all be hunky dory

    VAG gauge pod.

should be a case of changing the existing connectors to small spade female connectors,if you had an oil press guage before it should work with the new guages
  16. just meaning that 5 years down the line they're only £5 dearer delivered
  17. if the water temp is staying at the low hundred mark, and the oil temp is reading 138 an you have checked the water temp by other means then the oil temp reading seems to be false...........what the oil temp first thing in the morning when you start up?? it should read - - -
  18. well I was £30 from halfords 'bout 5years ago................better that the near £20 ea VW wanted when i asked about them back then
  19. much and such the same then Tom...........Impreza's first came over here 92/93
  20. are you sure thats from a 86 press clipping and not an 88 one...........as I too have a magazine with talk of the same engine and that mag is from 88 :? mentioning the forthcoming Corrado that will have the engine in the top of the range model
  21. The VR isn't exactly that much of a spring chicken rodders! Work on the VR6 began in the early 80's! I think they both have plus and negative points.. the sheer tuning potential (and sheer strength of the internals) for the G60 never fails to impress me! ...........which is later(therefore newer) than the 70's and IIRC t'was more the mid-late 80's VR development started :D :D :D thing is tho...........when they are being sought after by collectors it will be the near standard unmodded ones that will be the ones will be the most desirable,so regardless of how much easier to tune the G60 is over the VR I reckon the VR will be the more sought after from a standard point of view
  22. i understand what your sayin about the vr6 being the top end version of the rado, and i never knew that there were less 2.0 8v about,(you truly are the oracle :D ) and i don't know enough facts an figures to put a good case forward ,but apart from the campaign(not much chance of ever ownin one)and the vr6 storm,i reckon the g60 will be in more demand than a standard vr6 model in years to come,i just think the g60 engine is just that bit special :D maybes thats just me hopin  i'd also be interested to see how many of each model were actually made? your blinkered Greeny  ..............the G60 engine isn't that special,it can trace its design back to the 70's afterall, not saying the VR is best engine ever but its a bit more special than the 4 pot
  23. there's even less 2.0 8v's than G60's and the 2.0 8v is never going to be more in demand than a G60.............the VR6 will always be the one to have, followed by the G60,thats not saying the G60 is inferior, standard versus standard the VR has nearly 30bhp more than the G60 so will always be seen as the top of the range version
  24. ive got iridium ones that are meant to last 60k..........fine and handy for the schrick
