proper bstards!!!................hope you find it intact......though its funny how i bet your local plod won't be putting the same effort into finding it as they would trying to get drivers for speeding though  afterall finding a motor doesn't give them any monies into their coffers
-
for my standard leather interior, bbs solitudes,colour-coded grille,cd-tuner and a couple of wee red badges 8) they put the storm into group 19  though my right foot must be a bit lighter than yours as i can get around 22-23mpg round town  and i'm only winding you guys up.................you can speak about anything you want to here(though politics etc maybe best avoided)
-
really surprised that the tvr approach hasn't been copied by all the other corrado modders......much better than m3 mirrors or mirrors with indicators imo......could well be that its just too subtle for them though
-
Oooooh now you're getting me excited, that's my other hobby (apart from my Corrado...) I'm into Linux iptables/ipchains and have a smoothwall running at home on my adsl connection... 8) Don't even start me on VPNs/ipsec/pptp and all that.... I'll get my coat.....   guys guys come on....................us poor non computer-types are getting seriously lost here  ......i reckon learning mandarin chinese would be easier to understand
-
pardon!!sprechen zee english  nah seriously its times like these i wish i stuck behind school with all the so-called "nerds" and "geeks" playing with their zx81's and spectrums.......cos all these "geeks" and "nerds" are now driving about in some well-sorted machines these days......just shows you how trying keeping with the "in-crowd"means feck all when your older
-
Pardon!!!.....me ears haven't recovered yet seriously its way way way too loud

i'm a litho printer for the local council(been there 13 years  ) so graphic designers are the bane in my life   LOL.....only joking!!!!and on weekends i work for europcar(which is actually owned by vw btw)....so get to drive a few nice motors every so often like golf tdi's,e-class mercs, rover zt-t's and for a while octavia turbo's  ......though most of the time its crappy rover 25's or 45's :(

Scottish region rolling-road figures.....let see yours then!

of course vr's do use a bit of oil in day-to-day driving............i think 1l per 600miles/1000kms is considered within vw's tolerances  ........also if you use fully-synthetic you can experience a bit more oil consumption than if you use semi-synthetic,but if you were a couple of cars before me then i can tell you that you had no blue smoke coming out the tail-pipe.....so you're not burning oil also to get the best out of a vsr....you really need to get a pair of schrick cams(£600+ ) and the ecu re-chiped(£250)....... -

cheers m8  :salute: don't know if i managed to get round to speaking to you....i think you were on the rolling-road just before me :?: .....anyway just come across and introduce yersell the next time did jim curley give you any reason as to why your torque figure was slightly below standard?.....sounds like you could maybe benefit from the airbox mod i've got on mine  -
hi, i would imagine it would be pretty hard sourcing one from the uk but here is a couple of vw-dismantlers out of one of the vw-mags http://www.vwsport.co.uk http://www.vwsalvage.co.uk you should maybe try germany as i think that the rallye isn't as collectable over there....though to be honest shipping is gonna make it pretty expensive   either way though the mk2 golf/jetta synchro can be sourced as a runner pretty cheaply given their relative rarity...though don't know if there is any differance in the floorpan etc over the rallye and of course uk synchros are normally r/h/d hth

damn good figures there paul btw!!! :D -
well volkswizard have a nice honest looking(low owner) e-plate mk2 16v for under £1200.....take out a £2k loan over 3 years @£70ish per month, insure the car tpf&t(pay monthly)that way you have £800 for maintanence and/or paint refurbishment....cheap as chips "performance" motoring with still a touch of style...alright you'll be lacking pas and other modern refinements but you'll have better performance than your old C and saxo and as it hasn't had any of the max-power treatment once tidied up it'll look pretty impressive...imo these early-ish pre-big-bumper 16valvers are going to become almost as sought after as the mk1 campaigns  have a look here http://www.autometrixinfo.u-net.com/vol ... 515WUD.htm

go on jim....you know it makes sense   LOL

hi all, great day out today....good to meet up with some of the guys today...toohot ,fat-tony,vr6paul and everyone else who made it anyway myself and brian(with the sling btw :( )really enjoyed ourselves....just a pity we were the only ones from aberdeen but a combination of people being skint and others having to go into work meant there was some late call-offs :( ....never mind there's always the next time  anyway here is my new figures Norm power............................195.5bhp to DIN 70020 engine output..........................199.5bhp... :D :D  wheel output...........................150bhp drag output.............................49.5bhp torque....................................183lb/ft max power@114mph/6010rpm max torque@84mph/4420rpm either way its a nice increase on my previous figures set in september...though my torque is down by 3lb/ft :? ....anybody got any ideas why???????? btw vr6paul......you had the dremel out yet????????????????
-
i reckon on at least 10 C's being there........probably 15 in total......its looking like there will only be 2 or 3 of us from aberdeen coming down(i had hoped we would have had 5 or 6 from aberdeen but a few work commitments have whittled it down).....to be honest any more than 15 will make it a long wait to get on the rollers
-
being an ex-nissan 100nx owner :?  (though luckily for "only"8....too-long months admitedly)...........i would rather drive about in the tarted-up bug-eyed sunny coupe  ....and i hated owning it btw.......than the french/spanish thing.....whoever did that to the C really does need to seek some sort of professional help...
-
we can probably meet you at penrith on the friday at approx 9am-ish.......there's a very good truckstop there btw...very cheap too....sounds ok to you?
-
oh no jim...a week of saxo ownership and your taste is turning a bit max power/revs!!!!!!!! LOL seriously though dtm is very dated these days but your dead right about the oval style suiting the C better i must admit i quite like the twin pipe rear boxes though....and as for the "wheelbarrow" look thats all the rage now.....why??????!!!!!?????
-
so you going to inters then jill?.......there will be a few of us going down from aberdeen/ellon on the friday before inters............though it'll be 5am-ish(to miss most of the rush-hours/traffic etc)....but means we should get to bentwaters/ipswich around late afternoon.....plenty time for some beer'n'chat :drinking: let me know if your interested........nothing better than a convoy of vee-dubs going down the m/way 8)
-
oh no they don't   they seemingly use e-bay for advertising now :? anyway here is a contact number that might be active Monty's Wheels & Tyres,Iver........01753 440006 hth
-
oh yes they have!!!....well they did have a few months ago
-
5x112's as far as i know are passat's stud pattern and these wouldn't fit C's so reckon the ones you are after will fit perfectly
-
i take it you mean monty's.....i would imagine they would be able to sort something out for you.............just do a search(on google or similar) for monty's wheels and you should get their web-site
-
pretty sure they'll be identical stud patterns........and would imagine the offsets would be the same

Corrado spotting (old one from 2003 - dont use!)
vr6storm replied to CazzaVR's topic in General Car Chat
i bought one last year.....had to get it ordered though but classic green is shared with a few other models in vw's range
