Has anyone had there seats retrimed in leather in central scotland? Im looking to have this done as i cant be bothered waiting on some poping up for sale.I know you pay for what you get-im looking at around £700 or should i be expecting to pay more.Im wanting all the seats to be done and the rear and front door cards-not too bothered about the carpet as its black. Yeah thats wat i found too-got quoted £12 for one from the scrappy but try and find a scrappy that has a raddo witn them still there.So im affraid i went to the stealers £54 inc VAT.pic it up on fri.Apparently theres two different ones available for the 1.8 16v depending on your chassis number. When people talk about this what do they mean?whats the difference between a starndard flywheel and a lightened & balanced one?do they just drill holes through it or? also what the advantage? as iv got a normal one that going on the car on thu. Cheers Fraser

Today i was resetting my mfa when the scoshers & wipers came on and stayed on till i kept fiddling with the stalks.It happened later on when i was switching my wipers off. Havnt checked the fuses yet will do it tomorrow-does it sound like a fuse prob or has the wiper stalk fcukd up-ie wires melted or somit? Cheers Fraser

I spotted a G60 or 16V Black corrado in the industrial est next to eurocentral. The reg was JUI 35** had a set of 16s on it. I stuck a wee note on your windscreen advertising the forum-make yourself known. Cheers Fraser

No i totally disagree-removing my snokle and drilling the airbox is well worth it.suppose it depends how many holes etc-but i was well chuffed once i drilled mine. Cheers Fraser

I was coming home from football tonight with two people in the car going up a steap dual-carrage way in third gear-wasnt booting it as exhaust is blowing and sounds crap.Then i noticed a car coming up fast on my outside thought it was a focus so didnt bother dropping a gear just put the foot down the car passed-it was a Type R. I decided to see how fast it was-so i really went for it.Then we both slowed for a bad bend-as we came out of it we both went for it he pulled furhther in front to start with but once i got into fourth and then fith (aroung 105) i was back with him-felt like i had enough to attempt a pass,didnt though i kept my safe head on and tucked in behind.Once we got on slower roads i gave him a flash& heflicked his hazards.Mile or so later we pulled up at lights and he gave me the thumbs up.My cars 1.8 16v putting out 160Bhp and 135lbf-ft exactly,only found this out last week at StarP. Was he toying with me wanting me to attempt to pass or was it an honest even run? Cheers Fraser

Not got any pics since colour coding sidestrips new rear lights and coilovers-but im sure there was sum1 up at the RRday taking pics with a digicam.Im waiting on new reiger grill coming as the lastone fell off-so il take pics once its fitted.My car is in the gallery as My Tornado Red.

Im not sure what the drop is,but its pretty low.I kno what u mean about bouncing,it doesnt happen when i hit bad patches on the road,only happens if there a hump one the road.Did some1 mention removing the bumpstops or cutting them away?where are they and how do you do it? Cheers Fraser

Right had a look through the catalogue not sure exactly which shocks and springs your after-if you post the part numbers youve got il tell you what they are in the catalogue iv got here.Its 2004 catalogue if that helps.Also the G60 and 16v seem to share same springs etc but not the VR. WAOW!!!! Fitted the front ones just before it got dark-its bout 25mm off the deck at the front nearly lost the jack when i let it down.Had wee drive init after negociating my way out the drive withall the stones :D feels good but def need to take it to get setup properly.Will be raising it at the front tomorro and dropping the back bout 25-35mm. When i was out in it-it felt like it was pulling into the corners is that because it needs geomotery set up etc? Cheers Fraser

Yeah i just read the mag again and realised i read it wrong in the first instance-id have still have bought them anyway because of the huge drop they can offer.Yeah im well impressed except i droped a socket down in behind the rear "door" card when putting trim back on-so il have to rectify that tomorrow. Is there any easy way to get the height of each one the same or is it a case of roughly guess,put wheel back on let the jack down and measure-then if its wrong start again? Cheers Fraser

Just finished fitting the rear coilovers-very impressed.Cant wait to do the front tomorro once i pick up the top mounts. Anyone who has these,could you please tell me how the damping is adjusted? Iv got the rear sitting quite well-not too low just enough so the wheels fill the arches. Cheers Fraser

He showed me it-never got a chance out on it though.Wouldnt have made any difference if i had a go in it because its got a custom gearbox in it. All he said when he showed me it,that its off an Audi 90 5cl 20v of roughly the same age.I went to scrapy and there was one sitting there looked exactly like the one hed put on-very similar to the oe one.I was quoted £30 for it.Not sure if u need the cable,he didnt mention that at all.
