Iv ordered a set of Supersprint coilovers today and FK lights.Any tips on fitting the coilovers etc.Still running standard 15s would like to get it LOW though. Cheers Fraser

I was told today off a guy who deals in cars,that an old Audi 90 twenty valve throttle body can be fitted and makes a hell of a difference-so tomorro im heading down the scrappy and hes going to fit it for me.He showed me it in a 16v golf and says its unbelievable. Cheers Fraser

Ok,im looking for an engine and gearbox for my car. Either 16v or G60 not bothered about the power output-aslong as they run well and dont need any work. Does anyone know some1 who might have these or could locate these? Im in Glasgow but would be willing to travel-either to have the work done or to pick up. Cheers Fraser

Had the car a year now (sat) thoroughly enjoyed it but got some big decisions to make- spend a fortune on the mechanical side find a g60 engine gearbox etc find a g60. find any 1.8 16v. spend the £360 thats it needs in order to get it to start and forget about engine for now. Find a job? Hmmm think the last option is probably the best. :( Cheers Fraser

Well im all for tunning,but the dealer is the only place that i can source a ring gear and since it come with a flywheel i imagine that itl be standard. Cheers Fraser

Has anyone had to replace the Starter Ring Gear on there raddo? As mine is Knacked-now 95% of the time i have to put the car in 5th and rock it to get it started. I got a quote for supply and fit for £360 as the ring gear has to be bought with a new flywheel. think its around £170 from vw. remember its a 1.8 valver. Also got a quote for supply and fit a new rear engine mount for just under £100-what do you guys think,as iv heard its a really tricky on to replace. Cheers Fraser

Dark blue Nreg VR6 in Airdrie (near monklands hospital) about 6 o'clock M3 style rear lights 17s i think.Gave u a wave but u seemed more interested in the scabby Calibra infront of me.Seen u a few times one of the nicest Raddo's iv seen! Also a 2.0 16v sitting on Great Western road in glasgow very dark possibly black L 1** WHS that was a few weeks ago now though. Cheers Fraser

Ok, lately i was thinking of buying another 16v lump for my valver and get it overhauled & tuned. But looking at the prices i think id be aswell just to find a G60 lump to put in the car (no i dont want a 16v G60). How much should i expect to pay for the G60 engine? How much would a charger cost as there are a few engines for sale without the charger? Do i need the G60 gearbox or would my 1.8 16v gearbox fit? Would it be a straight swap? And finally would it be fairly straight forward? I remember that some1 with a tornado red had this done-mibby 146jockey? Cheers Fraser

Yeah i noticed those parts. I never used them-but i told the guy over the phone that i fitted it the same as the instructions recomend. He asked me to send the part that i have back so they could examine it. Only one thing,on the eyebrowe part i made holes for self tapers to go down into the headlight casing (ended up using cable ties) does anyone think this will matter-the fact that i put holes in the browe part? I ordered and fitted a Reiger grill about a month ago-today whilst doing a far old rate of knots down the motorway the bottom of the grill ame flying off-it had snapped awat from the lightbrow slat. Do i have anychance of the company replacing it? i dont have the part that came off though? Cheers Fraser

when you say K Star KS-301, what is this you are refering too Kev? Is there anywhere that modifys or supplys these exhaust cams so they can fit the inlet-or is it a diy job? Cheers Fraser

This sounds silly but on my 16v ke-jet i had what sounds to be a similar prob.The internals of the middle exhaust box had rotted away and become stuck on the S bend just before the back box. This resulted in when i put my foot down it went but just didnt pull untill it hit bout 5k revs (guessing the build up in fumes eventually forced there way through). Just a thought. Cheers Fraser
