I have noticed that the fans in my VR come on but only run for 5 seconds at a time then cut off and within a minute they come back on again only for about 5 seconds and the process repeats over and over. I also noticed after a long journey they come on once the ignition is switched off but again it's only for a handful of seconds. Where should I start to check? Fraser

Perfect, that will be my first port of call to check. Would the ISV also cause the revs to bounce around at times after coming off the throttle? Regards Fraser

So today after travelling about 10 miles I pulled off a motorway and stopped at a set of lights as soon as I dipped the clutch to come to a halt the revs dropped to zero and the engine cut out. It restarted fine but immediately cut out again. The only way I could keep it going was to blip the throttle to keep revs in the car. When moving the car was fine. On a separate journey later on it happened again. I should add that the car is turbocharged and at times after coming off the throttle the revs bounce around a little bit and the engine struggles, but never previously has cut out. Any ideas? Cheers Fraser

After a good few years away from the scene I purchased Nick Pascoes car in Octber and I've rejoined the CCGB 5mins ago. Just looked at the events on the CCGB website and most are fully booked for 2016. So if this one was going ahead I would definitely be up for attending. Regards Fraser

Done this yesterday. 1st and reverse were reluctant to work. It took a bit of adjustment inside the car and at the gearbox end, but now all the gears are perfect. Thank you. Fraser

Looking for a cream gear lever surround as mine has been drilled for something in the past. Has to be unmolested. Cheers Fraser

Hi folks, I'm looking for info from anyone that's using this setup. Mainly what rebound settings are you running front and rear? Just looking to see how everyone finds these as I'm going to start playing with the settings to see if I can get a better quality ride. Also I read in another forum that you need to compress the rears in order to adjust the rebound properly on these-does anyone know if that's the case? Fraser

Big thanks to Purple Tom for the front bumper and under dash shelf. Very good salesman. He has plenty of black interior trim people. Thanks again Fraser

Brilliant, as it's not cheap. Cheers Fraser

Took me a minute to figure out what you meant there. I think was supposed to say engine cover. I've spotted new engine covers on a site with VR6 DOHC on them but it's listed for the mk3 golf. Fraser

the plastic engine cover in the storm is looking a bit tired and one bit has a crack on it. So I was thinking of replacing it. Does anyone know if an agreement nine cover off a 2.8vr will fit? Cheers Fraser

Perfect. Thanks guys Fraser

fit inside a corrado? Collecting one on Monday and was going to take the C so I don't have to swap with the missus for the day. Fraser

This week a big thumbs up to Andyb and Clumpy1. Both good sellers! Andyb drove up from the south coat with parts and Clumpy even threw in a pair of leather trimmed parcel shelf support at no extra cost. Fraser

Cheers for driving up yesterday Andy. Really appreciate it. Hope you got down the road safely after the mamouth journey. Fraser

I think Nick would confirm this. I'm sure the car is on its stiffest setting-when I get time I will adjust them to their softest setting and compare. Fraser

Car is fine on the long journeys with the KWs. It's the bumpy local roads that are an issue. F

Ahh. Gotcha Clumpy1 ;-)

Haha, the car was certainly purring away like a cat. Yes Clumpy1 Airdrie indeed-how did you know that? Nothing too major planned-main thing is just tidy up certain parts. Andyb from here is driving up from down south today with some bits of the storm he is breaking. F

That would be myself gents. Been on here since 03, started of with a valver then a VR6 which got rebuilt to a very good standard. But in 08 I thought I new better and sold my VR. Purchased a BMW 840ci then a Range Rover. I don't need a car for a daily driver anymore and have been looking for something interesting for a while, mainly TVRs. But I noticed this for sale on here and soon decided that it was the perfect car for what I was looking for. The idea is to continue down the route Nick has gone with the car OEM+. Very happy with the car. Nick has done some pretty great stuff on it. There's a few bits here and there that need addressing but nothing major. A couple of light rust spots and some interior trim which has seen better days. I'm based in central Scotland so we drove it all the way back up and it was great. It never missed a beat. The power is scary though, I feel I have saved a life by making sure the car hasn't ended up in some young power crazed hands. It was great to meet Nick, a true enthusiast that understands want these cars are all about. It's not just about the cars, it's also about the people you meet because of the cars. I will start a page in the gallery section in the coming week. Fraser

I will definitely take the steering wheel and the space saver. Do you have the retaining washer/parts that hold the space saver in place? If do I will also take those. Is the tailgate still available? Any rust on it? Fraser

What happened to the storm? I remember this reg from years ago where I had a VR. Was it once on an Aqua Blue with rs301's? Fraser

Tidy looking car. Well done.
