My money tree died (along with my bonsai :( ) I agree, these cars are hideously expensive to maintain sometimes. When i think of what else i could have done with the money i've spent on mine, i could cry. Its getting that bad i'm being forced to shed a couple of wheels and get a bike.

At least its not something you need, mine doesn't work all the time and the sunroof doesen't always work when its hot (typical)

PM Jon_vr6 and how he fixed mine. I can't remember, something like connecting a red wire to a yellow wire? I wish i'd been paying attention.

That's stunning! I briefly used Pro/Engineer to model one of the heater control dials and that was hard enough.

I'm keeping mine. I had a couple of golfs and felt like a lemming.. not good.

I'm painting my originals no the crappy in-pros (got stuff growing in them) that are on it at the moment. I taped them up and cleaned with that stuff that comes with the Back to Black kits. Just done the second coat and i think all they need is a coat or two of laquer.. i'll consult the bf when he comes round later.

I've just given mine their first coat so it had better not rain.. they already look way way better.

Quick Poll - How Long Have You Had Your Current Corrado?
moneypit23 replied to Yandards's topic in General Car Chat
I bought mine in May 2004 and i've covered 45k in it so far. I would like a newer car full of things that work but it wouldn't be the same so i'm just going to transform the car i've got into the car i want and then i get the best of both worlds. -
That looks great! I'm definitely going to use the one i bought last year and never used. I've got the Meguiars 3 step stuff as well, hopefully it won't take the 7-8 hours it took by hand.

I've got a set under the mattress, i too am scared of using them for fear of Ribena stains. How sad.

I think it was just the outer one as it didn't cost that much. The guy mentioned something about it splitting but luckily it hadn't affected the driveshaft. It was the first time he hadn't suggested i get another car.
