IROC !!! Off to Berlin to see the new Scirocco!!
NickVR6 replied to Tempest's topic in General Car Chat
5.2 manual or 5,7 auto? they can be made quick, but the dash is NASSSSTY bits are fohooking cheap as chips. you can get a 5.7 chevy crate engine for about the same as a raddo rear bumper plastic!! or is this not an 80s pimp wagon we are talking about at all? -
nice and classy, love it.
-
now they are nice ! keep um as they are imo
-
bottom line, imo clutch is prob fine for a while longer bud :-)
-
mines a 94 vr and although the change is good it is notchy as described in this hot weather. mine has allways had that groan/squeek when i pull away just as you slip the clutch to move away. apparantly the vr clutches do that from half way through their life on? Mine also judders when it gets hot. Its allways done all this though and doesnt slip, and hasnt changed in 25k hard miles!! its done 137,000 and 6 1/4 mile runs now and its still soldiering on. might do the oil on my box as suspect its original, afterall its been serviced by vag who changed the brake fuild too, 1.5k later i drain it and its like black treacle, nice one. sorry off on another vag slag tangent!

Possibly Inane chat?!!...Corrado running cost...

valvers never seem to cost on the engine front, they seem bullet proof. G60s cost if you neglext the charger, but dfont here of many engine problems. Vrs have issues here and there. tbh although ive spent more than id ever dreamnt of on mine, its because i like refreshing it. i think the only time its ever actually failed and let me down was an alarm problem!! now does seem a cracking time to buy a c, they look like they are at an all time low price wise. seen some cracking valvers on the bay recently. DO IT MATE!! your not that far from me, and i dont mind looking at some with you (for what its worth) if you start looking. -
i wouldnt do one on its own, but seeing as im 140k on the original clutch and chains now im going to have to bite the bullet and get those done, then its worth seriously considering by the sounds of it.
-
omg !! that looks like its just fallen out of someones a.. !! not liking the car either
-
im going for a Eurosport one, which i think is what chris is running? he rates it and its 150 cheaper than the fifleydanski
-
they should rise and drop faster like a motorbike, but not quite that fast! i bought one from some b.tch on in germany and never got it, servs me right for trying to get one dirt cheap i guess. still 120 down the pan which hurt. CLAUDIA SHOELING, if you see that name run and then tell me because i've got a present for her in the garage ;-)
-
if youve never heard one in the flesh, its one thing you need to do. Sounds cr.p on tv, but not live! awsome. Check out that CSL nurburg clip, how sweet does that baby sound, and the blokes a NUTTER !!
-
Welcome dude, and congratts on the ultimate purchase !!
-
just found out he beat me to osv's azev a's too lol im getting too slow in my old age ;-)
-
gaz YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!! in a word yes, and i would like to buy it YES ive had a word with double 6 and we are having a fight tonight to clear the air lol. only playing, alls fair in love and ebay, get!
-
spot on mate, and if you get bored ill sue him for you lol!! yep, he was polite with me, but said he would take no less than 1600. It was due to end at 10ish i think. i got an email at 9 to say my bids were cancelled and it had been pulled bud?? really peed my off!! id rather not bid against you, as i wouldnt want to push the price up for you and we are obviously both ebay letches! ill pm yu my ebay details and we can confir next time ;-) be good to hook up to mate. Gaz is 20mins from me and your not that much further :-)
-
i second that. using optimax or BP ultimate instead of normal UL pales into insignificance when compared to the cost of keeping the fleckers on the road!
-
dont tell me you sniped the bloack and that head from me!! I was all excited about that last night and it vanished an hr from the auction end :-( and you didnt sell me your supercharger after i asked you, you get! onlys jokin bud. that guy selling the head (if its the same one) said he would'nt let it go for less than £1600 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Is it same one from ebay last night?? im giving up on the engine now with you lurking on ebay, im just going to get a charger and blow flocker up :-) (im not bitter ;-)

THE END OF AN ERA....24v V6..... ITS GONE!
NickVR6 replied to 24V Renshaw's topic in General Car Chat
Firstly Mike put it as well as anyone could. I did'nt post on your thread too often, mainly because i just stared at the screen with my tongue hanging out in ore. You, your car and last but definately not least your friendly nature and the whole way you go about things will be sorely missed around here by everyone. I've allways admired the fact that having built a car like that never went to your head and you did'nt molly coddle it either! I doubt anyone survived those picks without a shiver mate. Put up your feet, crack open a cold one and start that creative grey matter. I can't wait to get a hint of whats to come! I hope you've warned friends and relatives that you will be unavailable for comment for some time shortly, lol! -
is he still doing them?
-
i wish hella would do pucker oem all reds, that would be the ultimate and theyd sell fecking billions of them!!
-
mine seeps ever so slightly, but its never wet. doing it with the chains and clutch as mentioned. would worry unless your eating through water and getting white sludge or black water.

What a night - crunch :(...then blue lights *phew*
NickVR6 replied to dinkus's topic in General Car Chat
I kept looking at it all night, so gutted for you mate. but good old Dinkus, allways chirpy whatever the weather! ;-) if your claiming off them, and it does'nt go 50/50 which is a right ass, might aswell make it a new VAG wing bud!
