Jim/Trigg, I didnt say, but i have had another German ebay after a few beers type incident. I blame my problem on GradeAfailure, but i do have 4 bargain shiney things coming from germany again so who knows Trig, you may want to start harrassing me !! I would hate to loose these though, they are fabtastic

agreed, meg stage 3 as Furks said is the dogs. just feels like it wont scratch the car and is easy to take off. Used the clay bar when i bought the car and it worked miracles, but i reckon once a yr at most with that will sort it. If you can stage 3 it at least once a month or every 2 weeks you prob only need the bar used once initially.

Cheers BC. The Speedlines suit the car absolutely perfectly in the flesh, just fill the arches nicely and look oem but very chunky. Already had 2 people ask me what they were since yest afternoon! Your right about doing the rounds and there is a little voice at the back of my head talking about shiney bigger wheels even when i bought them. Ideally youd have these and another spangly set, but its not an option financially!

flockin heck Chris! Hope your on the mend without too many new rules handed too you! Keep us posted.

Thanks to Mr Haywire :D I now have some new rims and some pucker stopping power. Wheels look like they really should have been the factory choice from the off imo, look so chunky but not obvious in photos. Ride quality is better than the 15s, which must be the Wire's choice of tyres. I've thrown in a pick of my short but sexy RH phase for old time sake  :(

looks like i need an evening course too, in speling and gramer

that s.cks big time. i must admit i nearly allways trust people who are in the vw scene as even the guys that make a living selling bits tend to be enthusiasts, which is how it should be. it hurst financially, but it also just really disapointing that someone would do that who likes dubs surposedly! my car wouldnt have half the stuff its got done to it if it wasnt for people on here giving up there time and money sometimes to help me out. and if im ever in the position to do the same i will. (which is why ive taken a sat job at a vw sepcialists to learn lol)

For insurance i need to verify what my alarm is but having been to FAG twice and 3 local fitters nobody is any help. VW say ill have to check with supplying dealer, but unforunately they are now carpet superstore and could'nt help! Have all original keys and tags. 2 buttons, one indented one proud for panic. 3 pin contection port for for something black tag with code .... on black tag with ah7305 on metal tag with k005514 on and back of fob says mpt 1340 wt licence excempt on. its a black fob which also has a slider on to switch the interior system on off and its a full closure jobbie. Can post picks. As ever im astounded that the stealer cant tell me what this is as its fitted to my old mk3 16v, my wifes vento vr and my corrado ffs and both the late mk3s the old man had     Loathed to go another yr without theft cover or spend oodles replacing a perfeclt good fecking alarm!!

Day i bought mine i put a cone on it and grinned for 2 hrs after which it did my head in. sit in traffic and the performance goes down the toilet and it made mine pink an awful lot. Without the flexi pipe the bmc is loud but much deeper and less harsh then the cone. Put the flexi on and its much more subtle, amazing how much the tin pipe quietens it down, but still much nicer noise than standard. its the best compromise imo with the pipe on, and as kev said, unusually for this type of mod it does actually make her pull better. With the pipe on it also has a slight metalic edge to the note which i love, touring car-esq, but silent on a light throttle. Not cheap but worth EVERY penny mate.
