WTF! Do you think id have either outside my house! Well ive had worse actually, including a Austin 1300gt! Nope, its actually a very rare 2.0litre one. Has about ten times the torque of the VR to about 2k, then it does nothing lol. Nice noise though.

Datsun, where did that come from mate!! Tiz an audi coupe, non quattro 1986 on a c plate, 5 cylinder. Its mums car and has done 55k!!!!!!!!! Engine size?
-
I wonder how it handles! Or, if it handles well how heavy it is!
-
lol, join the club. I just tell her if she leaves it so long what does she expect. ehum, anyway, this is interesting as i was going to go with them next year. I want to have all my mods covered with an agreed value. who else does that then other than AF??
-
actually mate, its the rears that were worrying me today when driving round farnbrough on the slow mini roundabouts not being familier with the place. I cringed a couple of times, but alls safe so far! Thanks for all the comments btw guys. There not an.lly mint, but i never thought id have any rhs, so im over the moan. My only wheels though, so will be trying to get through the winter in em!!

Prize for the first one to confirm the red car model then??
-
Peakz, yeah budy. Its the wifes car, and she more an.l about it than I am with mine. lol! Its a 97 fully loaded and we got it with 50k on, for about half the price of a golf, and i prefer the vento. tbh i really cant tell the diff in performance between it and the corrado! Dont tell anyone though, maybe just at the very top end to C edges it. Shes got obd2 and 288s on it as standard though as its such a late one. They may just go missing one day though hey!! Tiz a nice car though, ill dig out another pick in a bit. Back to the wheels, im over the moon with them, and the tyes, although they first turned a wheel today in stupid rain. Bit scarey on brand new slippy rubber! How paranoid am i about curbs now then!!
-
KAD, suprisingly no i didnt. Well nothing on the car. I trod on my radio in the garage though if that counts! it is historical
-
oh, and its a bit lower now, it had only just come off the jack and sat there over nigtht!
-
Guys, firstly you cheeky gets  Reason for the delay might be because someone put them all on and realised the directional tyres were pointing the wrong way, so you were half right, i shouldnt be allowed near a car! Secondly i had to put in some quality time to earn enough brownie points to go to the Thames meet today! So they went on the right way round in the dark last night. anyho, heres a few quick picks before i left for the pub meet today.... oh, gix, they are all 8x17 20mm adapters (thanks Steve!) and 205/40/17s that actually dont look that stretched at all.

Blimmey! I didnt expect anyone to read this! Thanks for all the nice comments. They still ar'nt perfect but from a few feet away i reckon they will still look good. Got home late tonight so new shoes will be on first thing tommorrow morning!! Dave, nice one bud but let me know how much, im not letting you pay for the caps if thats what your trying to do!! Not your fault ebay guy was a nonce and youve been a star mate.

Well I can't say its been a smooth ride, and its lucky i have Mr Visa le Spania to help me out. But i've finally got a set of usuable rims i thought i could never afford! I won't go into the boring details but I just hope the previous owner of these wheels gets mauled to death by a thousand rabbid badgers and chokes on his frankfarter. :2gunfire: Anyway, hopefully some picks of them on the car tommorrow and the main point of the post other than showing off is to say a MASSIVE thanks to Dave-Grade A for being a star, especially at a tricky time when he did'nt need to be listenning to me. And Steve-Supercharged for going out of his way to help me out. Cheers guys  and good tip on the rubber Kev, loving the tyres!

So how much is my twin engined vr6 C gonna cost to build :)

Not that im in the same legue as you big boys, but any job it seams its all the little bits and peices that you just ignore that all add up to a fair old whack, and get you scratching your head at the end thinking that cant be right. But it allways is! -
Nice spot stan, good question! ??

Just drive it dude. Crossed my mind about the mileage, but once you start modding stuff/improving it the resale thoughts never balance out anyway. If its well looked after and serviced correctly the mileage will be a lot less important on resale value than the condition its in, in terms of having been thumped etc. Turn the key, and keep grinning to the ultimate sound track, you know it makes sense. im looking at 20k a yr plus in mine, fuels a ripper in this country but their not going to get me down about it, debt or not!

* You can't function on the job because your spouse took your car to work today. Thats happened to me, only she got so scared about leaving in a car park she came back to work and gave me the keys back and walked 4 miles each way instead. I felt guilty for about 10 seconds, and releaved for about 2 hrs!

fecking MASSIVE, that much i do know!

Like the blacked out faces which is why ive done it, well easy. just be careful as the silver reflectors can be easily damaged. Not sure on the yellow tbh. I have been wondering whether angel eyes would look better with the standard glass in front of them though, and some black detailing and adjustment to bring them forward a taj?

NickVR6 replied to Taggart's topic in General Car Chat
unnnnn beleivable!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope it wasnt those dodgey tyres i sold you! Glad your ok budy, what a SHOCKER! I'd get yourself checked out though just to be safe, shock can come back and bite you hours later, and/or neck probs. seriously, if you are still shaken up.... -
good taste, im just jelous. Going back to topic, i have a cracked light you can practice on if your worried about the clear coat doing strange things!?
-
I hate you storm, you've done everything I ever want to do to my VR - lol
-
would you buy under these circumstances?..............
NickVR6 replied to DannyBwoy's topic in General Car Chat
First thing i would have done is checked if it had been taxed for that period! I may not be full proof, but if hed taxed it 96-99 you'd know he was lyying straight away no? -
speak to yan if your tempted with a 16v g60, hes in the final throws.
