Tip from the haywire was to windowlean them to slide on the new ones, worked a treat, but be quick as that stuff dries fast and you dont want um half stuck on.

Had the same on mine mate, all mentioned above. Mine only leaked when i started it and as soon as it started to warm they re0sealed themselfves. Was the two black rubber pipes going to the fuel rail and it was dripping onto the fan belt tensioner. Start it with the hood open, stop it and go and smell around the ends of the two pipes, bet you thats the culprit. In hind site mine were just a bit fraid at the ends and i could have trimmed them and refitted, but i didnt take any chances and bought two new pipes from vag. Brace youself for the cost of them, you'll be bending over for uncle vw again! £70+ i think, for 2 10 inch long rubber pipes! They come off the fuel rail ok *****WATCH YOURS EYES****** if thres any presure and your doing it your self!!!! Not so easy coming off the bulk head end, had to v carefully stanley them along their length to get them to pull off!!

:mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: :mad2: So much for 16s, the 312s rrrnt fitting behind my 16s even with 15mm spacers on.....arrrrrhhhhh FECK IT! They hit the back of the spokes, even spaced by that much, and I tell you what, they aint anywhere close to fitting!! Looks like i'm buying new wheels now then

Cheers Ben, i had a quick look at lippy's in the flesh at stealth day and have viewed the post. Looked good, im just scared to hit into the consule without a spare which im having problems getting. Im also worried about breathing on the blasted heater controls, they are just about useable at the mo!

Must...have...gauges  So i've ended up with 4 options ! 1. Fit the 2 gauge pod in the lower centre consule, it is well made and fits really very well, but i'm worried it will look like a pair of night vision goggles!! 2. Fit the Audi gauges where the ash try is. 3. Fit the Audi gauges where the stereo is and stick that where the ash try is. 4. Wait for someone to sell me an original late RHD 2 gauge set, about as likely as me doing a CVH conversion on my C, unfortunately! I'm thinking 3, as it would make all the av stereo wires a lot easier to handle down there, but i dont trust myself with a dremel to do a neat job, and if it looks like a bodge i dont want it done. What say the experts?

Although its been mentioned a few times the thing i love about mine is never having a single rattle or squeek, from the interior that is, engines a dif story! anyway........... 1. I allways drive with the window cracked open, therefore watch all the water come in and into the lecky window switches......NICE! 2. Brakes 3. Steering 4. Flock vw's special corrado tax 5. The rear beam clearence for exhaust fitment! 6. The fact im now eternally skint but cant stop buying things for it 7. My wife now hates the car and me equally, something about priorities, whatever that means

Strap up, havn't we got bigger problems in this country than nit picking on number plates. Why is it this country allways treat motorists like lepers, and give pikey fecks a hand out and real criminals a pat on the back and a form so they can suu the guy that lumped them one! These imigrants streaming in must really be thick! They'd be much better off stopping off somewhere else in europe these days. Im tempted to put german plates on my car now just so i can have a chat with mr plod and tell them what i think.

Holly mother of Yfronts!!!! Glad your ok bud, i think you really were very lucky indeed. Gutted for you big time mate.

Just the block shaped housing to the left of the cam cover, that the breather valve comes out of. Not sure how you;d fix one on there though! Money wise, no idea really. £20-£30 for a cheapo rubbish cam cover but £50 plus for a decent quality one. I;d prob pay a bit more than that though for an embossed one as dinkus suggested!!
-
I definately want one of these mate. Struggled to find anything anywhere, been looking for ages everywhere! any chance for a cover for the left hand side breather housing too?? Looks the dogs!
-
£100 sounds good. Would much prefer like minded corrado peeps that are scared of hitting each other too! Could have some sort of run each then groups together with similar times and therefore some sort of on track spacing. (really just considering my own bad driving there tbh!) Well up for this. Might want to add a how far are you willing to travel too? I'd be happy to drive up to 200 miles, or possibly more if we were staying or camping somewhere to make a weekend of it?

Quite unintentionally...I've made my Corrado.....

and i thought you wer'nt in to bling !! All be it tastefull bling, apart from the wheel barrow handle poking out the left side of the rear bumper! -
Hi mate, nice mk1, lhasa green ai presume? and the corrado looks like its well worth a bit of effort! Welcome to the forum, lots of advice on here once you get cracking on her, if you need it that is.
-
Thanks for tracking it down. Would you guys think that sounds right though, going by what he's said about the problem? He doesnt seem to trust what they are saying?
-
Keep us posted Phil, like i said, if numbers help im a defo!
-
Just guessing, but i reckon he'd be better scrapping it than buying that part from the dealer!! Im going to call him and get some more detailed symtoms, there goes my mobile bill to his mobile bought in holand using in germany! bartsteward! What are friends and forums for though hey. Poor bloke was on his way home for crimbo too! Suprised Kev has'nt stunned me with some VR knowledge yet....Mr Heywired? Guess a better desc will help.
-
Cheers Rich, i have never seen anyone post this as a problem so i think they are wrong personally. I bet thats a reasonably priced item at the stealers isnt it!!

Luckily its not mine, but i have a mate (currently in Germany) who has a 94 VR with problems. He says it has an intermitent problem where all of a sudden it looses massive amounts of power and will barely rev. From his description it sounds too major to be a cam sensor, as reading other experiences of this it seams fairly subtle compared to this. He also says it will idle badly when its doing this too, but will still drive, just with no power hardly! He has had it into a German main dealer today and they charged him 275 euros to tell him the ECU was dead. I think they just vag commed it by the sounds of things, but said they ran it for 2 hours to show up the fault. They said the ECU was confussed and supplying hardly any fuel and said the part no he needed was 021997258kx Anyone have any ideas, or know what that part no is?? I suspect its not the ecu, but a sensor/wiring or maf problem!? Kev :-P :?:

I've just got one of these of egay but had to pay £41 for it! Should come tommorrow ish i hope. Lippy, did you shave the sides of the audi pod to fit it or did you buy a din size 3 gauge holder? If so where as it looks really nicely finished! I've also bought an audisport 2 gauge pod that fits the centre consule which arived today (late corrado type). Im actually quite impressed with the fit. Can post picks of that if anyones interested?
-
Phil, im after one too mate. I phoned GPC a month or 2 ago and they have asked for some more RHD ones. He reckoned VW wont produce any more RHD ones until there are enough numbers to justify it. Apparantly he can get plenty of LHD ones easy peasy! Well that 3 more peeps after them!!
-
Bet you a 5er at the rr day mines cleaner....lol
-
Sounds like they were fair even if the 2nd pull was unjustified, at least they didnt make a big thing of it. I would like to ask them what they think about the state of our roads though. Amazingly road surface has no affect on accident rates, as speed is the only major factor. My hairy a..! It just does'nt make them any money! I got done for 68 in a 70, but they said it was a temp 50 for road works, only the signs were all face down with sand bags on them!! Could have been vandals, but that didnt stop me being inocent!
