Its that subtle it just slipped by you mate, lol There are so many good cars on here in all fairness though hey
-
Second all of those mate, and personally i'd be throwing in Mr Haywire's chariot. I know there are a few that would pass on the colour, but its pretty much my fav tbh. Particularly like the numerous but tastefully subtle mods. I also love Markus's green G60 having seen it at no rice a few times. Dont have a pick handy but its a belter. and Chriss 2cc's for a standard fab example, dropped just right. Plus Yans 16v, soon to be a fire breather. +lots more tbh! I have to say despite the financial suicide of the car, my first year of corrado onwership has been fantastic, some great shows but mainly the people. I have found just about everyone to be so welcoming, non-judging and not up there own holes. Can't wait for next year and at some point helping some others rather than asking all the questions!! :D :D

Simon, firstly where are you based? You may find someone willing to pop along to check it out with you if required? Price sounds ok if its as it sounds. Last owner 8 yrs is a good selling point in my book. If I had a pund for every one i phone that said yeah mate, had it nearly 2 months, cant afford the insurance, yeah, like they didnt check that first, beard! Suspect this is all in the buyers guide but if not, the biggies imo.............. No 1 in my book is very carefull bodywork checks for accident damage, mechanicals are easier to replace that trying to get panels done properly imo. No 2, the mileage would'nt put me off 1 jot, but i'd be asking if its had Timing Chains Head Gasket Clutch Possible head rebuild. If they dont know about the chains, hold it at around 1200 rpm as thats where they tend to be noisiest! If you can get it nice and hot and coast down a long hill on prolonged in gear overun and check for smoke out the ariss. Not the end of the world but all good barg points. Dont know what your in at the mo but check the MFA oil temp and water temps should be 90ish and 108-118 respectively depending on speed etc. They do run hot, just make sure they settle down and dont keep climbing. Sorry if you know all this but hey, no harm in mentioning. :D

Bet Kev could give us a good run down on the spec?

M5 sounds lovely, take it we are talking 3.8 model? Bit scarey in the wet or ice though just slightly! I drove an S2 the other day, very quick and still sounds nice. Just dull lifeless non communicative steering. Over powered for mums parking in waitrose me thinks! Fun in a straight line though and yes, obviously great in your bad weather season. Both have mega parts prices, but both are very strong...........

So right Jim. I swear i spend as much time looking at it as driving it. They do make you feel good. Timeless shape, something about the way the line goes up at the back and they have such an agressive wide stance at the front, for their overall small car size. Like a bulldog on steroids with a touch of class. I even just sit in it sometimes and wonder why!

Earth strap to the bonnet? Allways worth replacing if its snapped. Passenger side corner at the windscreen end. The rest sounds like a normal day in my car! Might have to strip the door card to see whats on with the lecky windows. Has it been stood for a while, as that can make the windows stick uop or down as they fur up at both extremes? -
Mine used to run at 118 on the oil sat at a steady 80, until the cooler brought it down to 98 ish. Must be water pump, alternator or tensioner surely. If it was your oil pump i doubt you would have done 10 miles in it! Tried puting a screwdriver against the alternator and tensioner and plastic end against your ear? Good way to here where the noise is really coming from. Be careful though, obviously!

arrhhhh mate! gutted for you. Why no replacement buddy, circumstances or just a different car next time??

Jay, i grabbed it Friday and your C just looks awsome against the ligth background, clinical clean! If you want another ego boost, when i got back from lunch the mag had gone. Found it on the next team down with all the girls huddled round letching at your pick!! "he's nice" blah blah blah! I obviously said you wer'nt and that there was a better corrado in the car park, but they didnt buy it. lol! -
Bear in mind it prob has better mid range to your current car, unless its a turbo! But that means its reasonable effortless, so you dont need to ring its neck to make good progress. I get over 30 all the time just wafting around and going to work. As with most things you can get it well under 20 if you try!

Just wish i could pull

Thanks for the info guys, will be cracking on with this first thing and will post up a how to with picks for those that follow. Much apreciated.

I was tempted by these. Id go for it, as furki said they may be a little heavy and not as well finished as bbs. But then again, you'll be the only one on here with them as far as i know, and they cant be bad for that money!!!! go for it buddy!

Well in the end, call to Melted Keys VW UK, nothing yesturday but a call from dealer thismorning asking me to pop down. I now have a new header tank, cap and 2nd drivers side arm and blade and an apollogeee. price? OMG Complimentary!?    They either read the forum or were lent on! All i wanted was what i'd asked for and to be able to return faulty items. Despite taking a while to get there they came good in the end. I am pleasantly suprised if not a little amazed! :-P :x-mas:

umm, how are you surposed to tell which one of the 4 pins in the unit does what then!??
-
being this is an oem item there must be a cable or is it in the dash already?
-
LOL! I would! So anyone offering any advice on how i connect the unit to the sender and the illume etc etc The unit doesnt come with any wires btw
-
eww and pick??
-
lucky get! how did you do the dash board bit then mate? do you need to make up connectors and drill through the back of the centre consule??
-
umm, early last week i think mate. Hope i hav'nt jumped the que have I?
-
This has cheered me up no end, they were starting to call me victor melldrew at work saying i should star in a new series called "one foot in the corrado".
-
Well i've got mine through today, and well impressed for once!! I have no idea how to fit it, but heres some picks. I've included a pick of where i assume i need to bolt the 2 pol sender if anyone can confirm. Also, is there already a connector behind the consule that fits the 4 pins on the back of the unit or do you have to make your own up?? £91+vat gauges £17+ for sender. I actually bought 2 senders incase anyone needed one, not sure why tbh!? Anyway 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D 8) :D

Yep its 2 x drivers arms and the drivers and passengers blades. Its the fun ive had with the dealer this week with this and 2 other items that im less than happy with. Ive read the posts and no the score but the Lupo thing is edging on criminaly insane too. I wonder if you prove your a Lupo owner rather than a C owner you still get them at kit price, if not i feel for those guys too! Plus the dealer asked me to move my Blue scirocco, nothing against the car, but it was the sales manager thats been there for at least 15 yrs, adding insult to injury!
