Sean, he's on holiday with his Mrs. He's back next weekend, and we'll make up some CDs. Have you seen this: Shaun of the Dead It's great.

Corrado spotting! Was it you - [October 2005]
The Leningrad Cowboy replied to Andy Brookes's topic in General Car Chat
Harrow on the Hill - looked round and thought it was a mirror! M reg Blackberry 16V, big BBSs. -
"Sean of the Dead"??
-
Yeah, they were fit, and they new it, and we knew it, and they knew we knew it! I think even Sean's camera went a bit wobbly in their presence - check out the weird shadows!
-
Funny you should ask - it still says 'Sau' and other unlikely things on it! Trouble is, Brissle is back to its normal drizzle, so I've been using that as an excuse not to wash it!
-
Bint.jpg - hilarious! For those that didn't know, those two are the birds in 2CC's sig pic. How you doing Sean (Pauli)? I'm still trying to get Keith to give me his piccies, and I'll make up a CD and send it about! It was his 30th last night, so I have the morning off. Bad head, bad head. How's the Scirocco going? Still polishing? And what were Eric and Jim doing in the car in the middle of the campsite? LOL I have a video of Paul in Eric's car playing with the auto seatbelts, which is pretty humerous, but I'll have to work out how to get it hosted.

Corrado spotting - September 2005

I so hope it's someone on this forum, just to hear her reaction! (God help us if it's her boyfriend's car, and he's on the forum!) -
Corrado spotting - September 2005
The Leningrad Cowboy replied to M15 VW's topic in General Car Chat
Saw a green K reg driving the opposite direction (away from town) along Henleaze High Street tonight. I was in the VR and waved, but what like a very attractive female driver didn't notice me! Any one here? -
UR every time....the original and best.................. We saw (and very much heard) this group when we were in Germany at a car museum local to Karmann. This was about half the group. Christ, did they sound awesome, and I would think a fairly natural progression from VR6 ownership - rarer, faster, etc.
-
Looks good, man.
-
LOL Sorry mate - didn't mean to have a go, just was curious, and I didn't expect you had to change your username, but that is a pretty funny username now! LC4Y (Black violet pearl effect was delivered in 1991) - Does that sound right?
-
Nice car, mate. Is it really blackberry? Mine is blackberry, and yours (although much shinier!) seems to be darker. Edit: Blackberry paint code is LK4Z. I heard they breed great drivers over there! /_____ \

Help!! Clifford concept 50xuk no total closure
The Leningrad Cowboy replied to mr.ots's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Gav, I have a Concept 50 with the same issue i.e. the windows twitch as if they'd like to close! I'm not sure if the Concept 50 includes total closure, but the handbook suggests it could do it. Would I need one of the modules you talk about? And how hard would that be to fit myself? (I am a bit of a DIY muppet, but I managed to fit your loom OK). (Mr. Ots, sorry for jumping on your thread!!) -
Andi, nice motor mate - same colour as mine, but much nicer! How much grunt does your MX5 put out? I friend of mine in Texas has an MX5 that some more-money-than-sense chap popped a trebor in it, and it apparently puts out 250 hp, although I have my doubts. It is bloody quick, though, and my favourite bit is the run on turbo-cooler - the engine carries on running for a bit after you've locked up and walked away!

'Wanted' shots of The Purple Peril
The Leningrad Cowboy replied to The Leningrad Cowboy's topic in Members Gallery
Thanks Jim. I'm trying to get hold of my other memory card from Keith (he's bought an Ixus 700 now, so he can't even use my old card!) and then I'll just chuck all our piccies on a CD. Hopefully, we can actually get it together before the Stealth RR, and you can have one then. Sorry, no David Bailey arty shots like you seem to be able to manage, though! -
'Wanted' shots of The Purple Peril
The Leningrad Cowboy replied to The Leningrad Cowboy's topic in Members Gallery
Thanks mate - I certainly like the colour; although it wouldn't have been what I would have first thought of! That's why I want to keep it when I have a respray. Nice job getting the press car, BTW, but when you re-create your press hot, don't forget to leave the spoiler down! -
OK. I've had the car a while, but not popped any pics up here because although I just love driving her, she's like a criminal on the run, with nowhere to wash or brush up i.e. not that pretty looking. Anyway, here's a few pics. Found a reasonable one in the Karmann car park. No mods really apart from debadged grille (the old one was rattling about), the Lupo wipers and Gav's uprated head lamp loom. Things I'd like to do as follows, but a long list with a short bank balance. She'd better add getaway car in a bank robbery to her wanted list so that I can get on with some of these! My 'philosophy' is to keep it pretty much standard, especially looks wise - just very subtle changes. I feel like I'd like to end up with a Shrick, though - seems like something VW motorsport themselves wanted to do. Anyway. The further down the list, the further away. Osram Silverstar headlamp bulbs (got 'em, waiting to fit) [DONE - OCT'05] Also got free 'ice blue' parking light(?) bulbs, think about fitting them [WON'T DO - DON'T FIT!] BMC CDA filter Wheel sand blast and re-lacquer (anyone know someone cheap in Brissle to do it? [ONE DONE NOV 05] New fog lights Replace fan blower [DONE 12 DEC 05] and fix blower direction controller Fix the sunroof (and maybe change the headliner for another I have, although whichever goes back needs cleaning) Repair engine cover bolts - one is nicely rounded - thanks Think about new steering wheel and gear knob (original, hopefully) New suspension to lower it a bit - think about which set to get. New driver's door [NOT REQUIRED - DE-DENTED AND RESPRAYED NOV 05] Full dent removal job [MOST ARE NOW GONE NOV 05 - COUPLE OF TINCY ONES LEFT] Full respray in original blackberry [sTILL NEEDS A GOOD RESPRAY, THOUGH] New roof seals (maybe even before the respray) New windscreen seal, as the current ones prevented me exceeding 125mph! (maybe before the respray) New window seals all round Mocal oil cooler Shrick VGI, cams and remap You never know, maybe even a supercharger - you have to have a dream!

Well, it is the "peoples' car"....

LOL - girls and their shoes!

I reckon I've spent about £1k on the VR6 in a year and a bit. But then, most people'll tell you that it looks like it too! I have a list of things I'd like to do, but they all seem to come second to drinking beer. I've just realised, I probably do spend more money on beer than petrol. By quite a bit, too. Interesting.

Car accident within 48 hours of E38.. update PG3
The Leningrad Cowboy replied to bristolbaron's topic in General Car Chat
Hey, Baron - sounds like you're sorting out the cash. Where are you getting the respray done? I definitely need a proper touch up and respray, but I think th ereadies won't be available for about a year. I'd be interested to know where you get it done, and how pleased you are with it. Cheers. -
Yeah, the Karmann one is different from the Zender post-factory job. I like the '50 million VWs' 'box set', though - very cool.

Corrado Crash Bang Wallop Video
The Leningrad Cowboy replied to veeDuB_Rado's topic in General Car Chat
Good, I'm not alone in thinking this then. He must have been grinding inside as his chin spoiler ground on the floor on the way up that ramp! Actually, it wasn't too clear how much damage there really was. -
A friend of mine took a cheeky shortcut to avoid the queues on the way back to work from the pub on a Friday lunchtime. Unlucky for him, the watching coppers didn't like what he did, and followed him to the car park at work. He then suffered the ignominy of sitting in the back of the police car at the entrance to the site, being breathalised, while every returning worker walked past with a front row view! Edit: he didn't get done.

I used to do Nav rallies in my mum's B reg Polo classic. My dad's also had several Passats. Then my first car was a C reg Jetta TX. Boy, was I proud! Then 'upgraded' to a brand new Ibiza Cupra (Polo / Golf!). Sold that when I moved to the States and had a amongst others, a Ford Ranger pickup truck and a dog of a Chrysler (although it was convertible) for two years. So when I got back, I was looking for something a bit nice, managed to avoid the Scoobies and the 406 Coupe, and got very excited by the VR6. Nuff said. Generally, VWs definitely have something cult about them, I'm not sure why, but with the C it's pretty clear.
