use two!!!!! the g60 unit seems pretty multipurpose, will it fit just about any size up to about 2.0 4cylinder unit? cause a lupo gti is begging for oe to be fitted.. :D a dual g60 would be an awesome machine, never seen a twin charger setup before, presumably working on a similar principle to twin turbo? but would you be able to get enough power to run the chargers in the first place?
-
mine wasnt in bad condition just a few bits of rust, wirebrushed it off and slapped on a ton of waxoyl and underseal.
-
the spring damper seems fine. used a new one and its the same size so far as i can tell but i shall double check. also its run in the right routes. the belts also clean and seems to be about the right tension. tightened all me nuts up (hehehehe) and its quieter but still squealing a little a tickover. shall check the pulley.

how to on a 91 g60? replaced the whole alternator last week, but not the belt as it was in good condition, it now however squeals like bloody hell, so im guessing it needs tightening up, how do I do this? cheers.
-
guy who's selling em thinks about the same. going to see em next week :D
-
dont be ridiculous, it would hve to be purple or green lights. duh.
-
i dont think so, but isnt acura also a make in some countries? dont have a clue, looked a bit like a 200sx but hatchback to me.
-
excuse my ignorance but what the hell is it? i looks like its probably a nice car under all that tat. cool install though :D

a mate of mine is selling his modified golf rallye in the upcoming weeks, and its rolling on some azev a's, but has the original set of sebrings in his garage, what would these be worth in half decent condition? i havent seen em yet but i might try and get hold of em if there ok, maybe a set of winter wheels. cheers

good or bad? i have a casablanca cd headunit and i was pretty impressed with it 3 years ago, see no reason to change it now. however my rado's speakers are all shot to hell and only 1 is working, so im thinking of swapping them all over to blaupunkt ones, apart from hte dash speakers. anybody have any experience with them? they seem to be reasonably priced and have a nice clean sound quality compared to say the sony xplod. advise :D
-
depends if its a quality car that makes our models look like shit, or a total stinker :D im all for a new corrado, but chances are we'll never seen one. it'll be a golf coupe. or a bora coupe.

fixed my beesting aerial! evostick contact adhesive is a life (and money) saver!
-
gave her a right good caning last night, and this morning and the day before. i feel good :D now im going to spend tomorrow polishing off dead flies (crap) and wondering if i should tcut her... although mistrall your C is noice. but not fast enough :D
-
sheared my old aerial's screw, then did the same to the new one :D lock plunger fell off, got me mum to fix it! haha good point joebloggs, they look great when they roll past

directline. although i hear tesco is good. dont allow mods with directline though.. its able to cruise all the way up to 140 :D it comfortably sits at about 80-90, you do have to work the gears a bit if your giving it some pain but its not too bad.

the g60 0-60 is about 8 and a bit i think the 16v is around 9. the g60 engine doesnt need to be rvved as hard, its got more grunt low down (and up top) im 21 a student and *just about running a g60, the petrol consumption isnt as bad as people think, its more the maintenance! if you can pick up a half decent g60 for 2k (i did) with only a minor ammount of work to be done engine and body wise, i'd probably go for it. however the valver would perhaps be better insurance wise if you were going to mod it. my current quote is £600 fully comp, if i was to chip and pulley it (taking it to about 180bhp) i'd be paying double! so.. its really a matter of getting out and test driving a couple of each then keep your eyes peeled on the forum! welcome! p.s nothing beats the sound of a G60 supercharger roaring at you!
-
this sounds daft, but is there a way of making the standard exhaust pop and bang/backfire a bit? safely o course ;-) i love hte sound of em poppin
-
looks quality :D does anybody know if you can get corrado shells for R/C cars? i'd quite like to have a mock up rado for my shelf :D
-
oh i would, im not that big on badges (so long as it isnt a vauxhall) if the car looks good to me (bad taste) then it gets love. crx. i'd hit it. corrado. i have hit it ;) fiat coupe. oh yeah baby. they were the choices i had 2 months ago, fiat too ££ for insurance, crx's were all rusty and riced, the g60 was the only standard rado i found! i was looking at a nugget valver before but i couldnt visit it. *edit* i'll sort it out, gonna fit my alternator and go for a drive.
-
omg it has NOS?!?!?! the stickers say it does so it MUST that must do like 0-60 in like 4.0! the rex i nearly bought before i got my corrado, i just couldnt find one that didnt suck, still a great looking car, and very quick considering specially the vtec, although overrated. valver would nark me for performance
-
quality! i was thinking about selling her for something like a valver or a honda crx (gasp) at least being nasp i dont have to worry about chargers or other stupid faults. little more economical and cheaper on insurance.. I JUST DONT KNOW WHAT DO! nice panda!

well after spending by far too much money on her already, im beggining to think i should have got something a little less maintenance heavy. i LOVE the car she's great fun to drive and slaps alot of other newer cars in the face. however being a student and only working 2-3 days a week at £4.50 an hour my problem lies in that all those niggly little problems that need doing.. CANT GET DONE so i will quickly price up all the work i've had done to her so far : -high pressure oil sensor £20 -touch up stick £10 -front tyre £55 -stainless exhaust system £305 -cobra cat 1 alarm and immob £199 -new alternator £250 -alt belt £20 -breather tube £20 -boost hosing £5 -spark plugs £30 -oil filter £10 -oil £17 -front engine mount £75 -front bumper £280 -fixing front wing, grille bar and spraying bumper/wing £675 so.. in roughly 2 months i have spent around £2k (1971 to be more exact) now the car only cost me 2k for gods sake, and i love it to bits but i know that next month there's going to be something else to do. now i really do love the car and i dont want to get rid of her, but the tax and insurance is coming up at the end of my summer hols (sept) and there's no way in hell im going to be able to fork for that and still be able to live if the upkeep continues to be this high. what do you think guys, should i sell her and maybe regret it, or just keep going with her, im a little crazed at the thought of changing her already

some guy in a van stopped on purpose so i couldnt get past him once just to say "nice car mate" long live white van man!
-
nobody mentions the fact that the interiors like to rattle squeak and fall off at random.. or at least mine does. bar the charger a good allround car, plus nobody mentioned the fact it sounds like a horny rabid beast with a wasp up its bottom. hope its to your liking Chrislong, just make sure you give it a REALLY good once over at least twice!

Porsche 911 turbo Fiat Coupe 20v turbo (with induction kit!) BMW M5 (much tastier sound that the puny m3!) Aston Martin Vanquish tvr in general :D (im not forgetting the vr either!) the fiat seems a bit misplaced but the 5cyl with an induction roar sounds absolutely awesome! not too slow either!
