Want to hear what a NA 300bhp R32 sounds like in a tunnel?
g60_Pete replied to biggerbigben's topic in General Car Chat
nice sound, i think it would be wrog to put a "big bore" exhaust on an r32, it already sounds like a monster wheres the clip of the bahn brener! -
standard ride height couldnt get onto an ats ramp! would think garages would use those ramps that slide arms under the 4 jacking points so it doesnt matter how low it is!
-
its a bit fiddly but i fitted mine to my G60 by just diconnecting a few pipes and wriggling it around :D mines got a JMR solid mounth now and it does transmit alot more vibration when you really punch it, but for everday driving you dont notice. good price though!
-
mmm fiat coupe 20v turbo :D nearly got one till i found out the insurance.. OUCH oh well got a meaty g60 instead! ctr's are like most jap cars, just acquired taste, has its good and bad points, the bad points being its styling and stigma :D
-
i like the side exit exhaust idea though, very muscle car! *ponders bending pipes*
-
cheers guys! found some schtuff, very useful, being a student extra income would be cool and at the moment i have 4 motnhs to pass..

has anybody tried polishing any car parts themselves? i have a totally fubared spare alloy wheel and have been thinking about polishing it up by hand, its the perfect guinea pig! not only will this be a bit of fun but if i can actually polish stuff the way i'd like to think i can i can offer a lovely service to you lovely corrado people! down to business! i presume you need a hard cutting compound, some fairly tough grade media (similar to wet n dry only not) and a great deal of time, followed by a soft media and a less cutting compound, more like a rough polish and even more time! tell me if im way off or right on, going to have a go at doing the spare just to see what results can be gained at home, then hopefully do the whole set and maybe some estorils too :D cheers guys!

hahaheha always the way with jap cars very few have nice sounding engines. alot sound very tinny and weak. the old crx sounded hot as does the nsx, but apart from that most sound naff. scoobs are good of course but the stigma attached to that car!!!!???!! and im sure women are so impressed by some peenars revving up his "sports" car, does he not realise his girlfriend isnt interested and neither is anyone else!

Corrado help needed for a wannabe corrado owner
g60_Pete replied to Hank_Marvin's topic in General Car Chat
insurance is quite high, mpg should be 30+ in a valver. probably 0 down the motorway -
*off topic* my mate took me out in his clio 172 not long ago, magnex exhuast viper induction kit and a chip, felt about as fast as my standard g60. just louder and more obnoxious. and i have to say keep humbling those ctr's they look gay! plus wan*ers drive them.

£2k should pick you up a fairly good valver. should be around the low 100k high 90's probably. check the cars for sale forum here, i tihnk there's a black valver for sale. be worth getting a forum members car! -

be VERY careful with g60's mVERY VERY VERY careful. they are fast and great fun, and make a superb noise but like i said they cost a bomb. i dunno about 180k it really depends if its all been serviced right, if its standard and the charger has been serviced regularly and its been looked after it could be a bargain. or it could be a total nail. -

yeah only 2.0 8v. theyre the slowest rado, but they do come nicely speced. 1.8 16v's and 2.0 16v's are basically the same performance wise, the 2.0 has a bit more bhp but is restricted by a cat. on the plus side i think a 1.8 is just the golf 16v engine so parts are easy. -

due to your age a 1.8 will be best to insure because your probably going to get spanked. the 1.8 and 2.0 are pretty bombproof engines i hear, do fairly good mpg too. equipment varies across the range, most have electric everything though! the g60 will cost a fortune to maintain and run so i'd avoid that unless you think you can cope. 100km isnt a problem im running a g60 with 127k on the clock and its fine! maybe consider an 8v? cheap to insure with a good spec on it just not got a very powerful engine. hope that helps -
ooh, damn you all i need pics been scouring ebay all morning to no avail. not too fond of sebrings, the solitudes are quite nice though i have to say. monte carlo? westwood? i am truly confuzzled.

shall be ordering an fk grille off them after my holiday! once i work out all the insurance prices etc i'll take the rado down for some suspension i think. had her tuned up at awesome + ht leads, ran sooo much nicer afterwards not too rich or lean, nice smooth idle, and really helpful fella's! was impressed with their knowledge -
that bit of open dual carriageway always makes me fruity :D
-
cheers chris. i do like estorils it has to be said.. but i've always wnted to paint my brake calipers lol, so i wanted a set of wheels that you could see the calipers through! have to go hunt down some pics of sebrings now!
