  1. You have gone through more interiors and its not even been on the road now for how long lol.
  2. Cut your losses mate, it WILL cost more next year MOT and the bits in between this MOT and the next.
  3. No i wanted to get it working in G60 turbo mode 1st so i can transplant it into another car whilst this car gets took off the road when i eventually do decide to go 20v, still planning stuff and researching into it all, just pipe dreams at the minute but its looking like next year now due to 1 reason or another im afraid to say.
  4. What exactly is not working, does it power up or just no sound??
  5. Ha har it is mate, forgot to update the thread though in all the crimbo madness. It got put back on the road roughly Dec 12th, new exhaust turbo manifold, also fitted an Innovate LC-1 + G3 gauge kit fitted into SWG air vent gauge holder, got the audi gauges lit up [bulbs were gone], flushed PAS, uprated loom on headlights, all so far so good, prob last another 3 month before its foobared again.
  6. And your tyres. I lost the feeling for mine too, got it back on the road eventually 9 months later after coming off the road, anyway i def have it all back now, sometimes its the best to take it off the road and not drive it, then once its back on and all fixed up and possibly a new direction like you are going you will have the fire burning again.
  7. Even the pictures of yours actually make it look harder to do than it actually is lol. You routed the cables exactly the same as me too and tie wrapped in exactly the same place. Cant wait to hear your reaction of the night time brightness on full beam.
  8. See thats the thing i always also know what im going to get just not in a boring way, in my view where is the fun in been boring. As you say though each to their own.

    I want 1!!

    Look at his members thread.
  10. For the headlights you just need to upgrade to a relayed loom off KUR2Y, check the group buys forum. Dont bother changing the lights thats not the problem. Just done this myself this wknd, massive difference. I personally hate the progressive power delivery its so boring and predictable, harsh and fierce is more my cup of tea.
  11. Is that all valvers, i was looking to change to the 8k cluster but thought it was on the early set up?
  12. Well to be quite frank, to say im astonished would be an understatement, the difference it has made is so much more than i thought it was going to be. Fact. Imagine your currently full beam brightness but dipped and your nearly there, with a wider spread of light and obviously brighter, and i was absolutely shocked to see full beam, effin hell thats bright, better than my Merc van with projectors. Bearing in mind i have not changed the bulbs to a higher wattage and as i say they are Halfords own cheapies in 3 - 4 year old. Doubt i will change to a higher wattage it really is that good now, which also means i will protect the film that can get heated away if higher wattage bulbs are used. I dont mind it this way but on full beam it also keeps the dipped on i think, not checked properly yet? In my view there is absoluitely ne need for HID kits that can be expensive and dont work correctly with the Corrado lens defractor. Thanks very much Zak.
  13. It really is very very easy to fit, the most time consuming part is actually getting it neat and tidy, the wiring is that easy and i didnt opt for the OEM connectors so i would imagine with the OEM connectors you really must be dumb to get it wrong, as he said they are plug and play with no cutting of wires.
  14. Awesome stuff there, 300bhp can drive brilliantly. What set up you using on all the drivetrain? What torque levels you got, from what i understand thats the only thing is hard to achieve over 300 too? 300 is possible from the g lader as you have proven, i take my hat off to you but just sadly very very hard if not impossible on an 8v
  15. Well loom is now fitted, def looks loads brighter even in the day light as vwdeviant reported, and the car is been used tonight on A, B and motorway roads tonight cant wait, and i am still on standard bulbs, just Halfords own brand and they are prob 3-4 years old, we shall see. Good instructions, especially like the intro lol.
  16. Just received my loom Zak, looks fantastic, feels great, going to get it on today report back tomorrow, hoping its going to get people flashing at me lol. Is there any need to get different bulbs at all or has anybody found a good set to use with this loom.
  17. I could probably shock you on the motorway way then with my turbo set up but like i say you dont wanna go down that route. I had the BBM before this turbo and i loved it, it sounds brilliant on idle dont get me wrong, its just when you look on you tube and people are revving it it then sounds naff and thats why most people slate them as been way too noisy and annoying, but once on the move you can nearly almost froget its even there but its still loud outside, performance wise they are brill, better power delivery, stronger lower down, even more instant power and pull for longer through the rev range from memory, used to nail Impreza's solong as they were not stupidly tuned. A front mount is always a better option as the standard intercooler is to be fair useless, so it is better to spend now on a front mount as opposed to get standard then to find you want a front mount later and spend again. You want to go ported head with cam and big valve it if you can. Bigger injectors. BBM charger. Front mount intercooler. Prob £3k there though and the single most difference to the driveability and throttle response would be to go larger capacity ie 1900, just a simple rebore to 83mm and pistons to suit, and at the very least a lighter flywheel. http://www.bahnbrenner.com/media/movies/SC_driveby.mpeg
  18. You dont wanna go turbo as much fun as it is, the BBM is a great noisy little thing just sound naff when stationary and getting revved whilst not moving, the rotrex is naff on a G60 engine.
  19. But also lets face it, its not exactly a new engine anyway and has years most likely with coolant that does not have anti corrosion stuff in and also will it have been changed every 2 years, i doubt it?
  20. junkie

    I want 1!!

    Biggerbigben had 1 on his.
  21. Yes i agree with you on that part, have the efficient engine with the boost as well.
  22. Although you will see less boost pressure with head work boost pressure is still important, yes the pressure seen on a gauge is the pressurised air waiting to get into the engine due to restriction, when it is going in its going in at that pressure also, so lets say 0.5bar or pressure or 1.0 bar of pressure going in, which 1 will produce more power?
  23. Gutted mate, need a new 1 now, who did the build mate?
  24. My thoughts are expensive and exactly what Jonathon says.
  25. They would suit the corrado, seen similar on here but cant recall the username, its a blueberry though.
