  1. Kind of, just trying to fund it all around all lifes other crap, seriously though when i can afford it i def want it.
  2. I'll have to get divorced first before I spend that sort of money but yeah one day! Finally he sees "the light"
  3. ouch!! :nono: Only due to the black shiny centres, slap your granny is a much better look  i like cheese  and if you transfer that number plate to my car i will like anything you do.
  4.      Very :camp: friendly you say :fondle:
  5. What you need is to drop in a Vauxhall 2l turbo then as the turbo is mounted at the front of the engine, or better still a Cosworth lump as the engine is longitudally mounted so the turbo is on the side. My engine sound proofing has held up for 3 years pretty damn good, as LowG has said change the engine mounts anyway to promote better handling and my steering boot has melted but due to not having any form of protection originally but its only a small hole so im not too concerned now its protected. I even have the standard plastic fuel rail pretty much above the turbo as you can imagine that i was always worried about but now i have my head off it looks like new still as far as i can see and nothing on the turbo or exhaust is wrapped or ceramic coated so on mine heat is currently not an issue. Cant say for sure for other engines though.
  6.          :notworthy:
  7. I think you have me all wrong to be honest Rob, now im not saying you should go turbo now and i dont deny both have their ups and downs and im just trying to have fun as quite alot of the time on here there seems to be that element missing, my comment of "seeing the light" was meant to be light hearted ribbing between the supercharger and turbo boys but some people seem blind to that fact. However having been down both roads of using various methods of forced induction i can only voice my opinions, sometimes yes they are not asked for but otherwise it would make for a very boring world we live in. Im glad we can agree on something  Enough of all this like you say mate no hard feelings and let the forced 16v discussion commence once more. I can concur once and for all TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBO FTW
  8. Exactly its a discussion of all forced induction, in my eyes some people bang on and on about superchargers but i dont complain half as much as you do about people discussing turbos.
  9. Its all part of the fun, cracked manifold was due to a poor design all sorted on that front, high under bonnet temps with any forced induction motor, like i said trying to show the light not forcing you to do anything, i voice my opinion if i want to thats what forums are for after all, definately each to their own though and the thread is called "The Forced Induction 16v Thread" after all which is on the Corrado Forum not any old VW forum, now last time i checked forced induction definately covered superchargers, turbos, electric superchargers and even leaf blowers strapped on for good measure, just because i have had a cracked manifold was there any need to have a dig at me personally FFS, have i ever had a dig at your car?
  10. I dont feel special at all if im honest with you, just trying to show peeps the light.
  11. All you guys need to stop trying to be different and just go TURBO FTW
  12. Whats the rev range on these little babies Stu.
  13. Miles comfier though, I hated my old seats. they are comfier, thats the point. its not a merc avantgarde its a rado should be sportier, should they not Sporty it should be but now 10min in the standard seats and my back is shot to bits, they are no way in comparison to a merc though and are still sporty been Recaro. I found mine strange at 1st thinking they would hug more but once i got used to them they are comfier and actually better for spirited driving and no way would i go back to standard. As has been said i cant understand anybody not wanting Recaro's :cuckoo:
  14. In that colour scheme on the RX's they look too chavy and the T's def look the "business" :norty: you know what i like.....
  15. Go v-band IMHO, I didn't and it's a bit of a pain doing bolts up with limited access..... I know been there and done it already with the IHI 5 fecking stupid bolts to get off after been on for a fair few months, not easy with the inlet manifold there too.
  16. I think thats what i was going for as well, external wastegated and unsure whether to go for the v band clamping exhaust.
  17. Just wondering what spec did you go with the GT3076R mate?
  18. You have pics in the Forced VR thread of the exhaust pic whore. :D
  19. As you can see i have not changed anything since race 1  currently placed 15th
  20. You can upgrade the brakes to give far superior braking that does not require heating what so ever.
  21. Can you imagine how much fuel that uses in those few laps if your giving it right....
  22. The plates can be changed to change the characteristics of the diff and the guy from Autotech swears they will not wear out for a long time but time will tell i suppose.
  23. Im undecided on the solid lifter head at the moment Kev, i know its pushing it but it wont be used up there constantly like it would be on a track but i also know its on the limit too. Will going solid lifter mean the head drivetrain parts will wear quicker too? It only starts getting fun once up in the 5k+ rev range :D Well i thought going O2J would be a sufficiently stronger box been an upgraded O2A basically, i would go 6 speed but the O2M requires too much modification to fit and the Quaiffes etc are too much money for now as all the funds are going in the engine build then i also dont want a dog box as i have heard its a hinderance more than anything on daily driving duties or anything other than ragging it to within an inch of its life so i think the synchros are a must still???
  24. You can buy my intercooler kit :D
