ok ive had my steering column off this eve, and tried to follow the easy route above but im struggling!!! :x dont suppose anyone has a pic of where this screw is???? silly question i know but im beginging to think im blind as the only "screw" i can find is on the back of the ignition barrel holder type alloy thing!! and the head of said screw is facing my speedo, so if thats the 1 how the hell do i get that bugger undone?? or am i in the wrong place  any help out there????
-
well i charged my battery up last nite and still no joy so wouldnt of thought it would be that tbh
-
ok i've not got round to changing the ignition switch yet, but what i have noticed is tht when i try to start the car the rpm needle does not move at all, if it is the switch would that be the case, or should it still bounce around???
-
have a look on flea bay as well as i've seen awesome selling audi door handle kits on there, cant for the life of me remember how much they were tho
-
hey guys just a bit of a general question about the stealth alignment kit, how do they attach the bits to your wheels? as im running really low id like to know, my alignment is way out and has screwed my inner tyre on the passenger side so it needs to be done when i get some new tyres. Ive seen places where the bits sit on top of the tyre but that would be no good to me, well unless i take my front wings off  thanks in advance
-
yep cheers for the advice guys, ill get my ass to vag later and part with the readies and find a cushion from somewhere!!!
-
http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... ion+switch yep i presume this is the 1 you were talking about?

hey guys, slight problem. my car wouldnt start this morning, engine was turning over but nothing. i also heard a faint clicking sound coming from the steering column!!! any body have any ideas?? didnt have time to check anything as it was 5 in the morning and a bit dark, dont think its the battery as everything that does light up did do!! shouldnt be the ht leads as they have been changed a few months back. im stuck so help
-
It's a clever rumour that's got out that they use IR light - this is not the case. They simply have a dark red cover over the flash, which stops them from blinding the driver if it goes off at night. In anything except bright sunlight you should be able to see it flash. Although don't expect it to be as bright as the Gatso camera flash. just got this off a "friend" in the cid department so hope that helps
-
now i may be wrong here but im sure i've seen a truvelo camera flash, and northampton has loads of them, was behind a car the other day and it was def a flash, and it was pitch black at the time so a bright white light was either aliens invading or the camera flashing!!!! but im sure someone will come along and prove me wrong!!!!
-
well had the car up on a ramp at the jag garage as i know 1 of the mechanic's there, had a look under the car and came across a split rubber boot, i think it was on the drive shaft, so i guess that would account for the knocking and squeak!! well i hope it does!! lol cheers for all the replys tho guys
-
dr_mat  man that thread was funny made me chuckle some what, but that dont help me with my problem, made it go away for a while tho, an man who ever that girl is, she's a hotty!! :norty:
-
well its kind of all the time, when i turn its knocking, when im at slow speeds its a knocking and when almost stopped its a squeak, and when i pull off (ooo errr) its a squeak for a while and then a knocking. its also like that when going round a corner, someone also mentioned it could be a engine/gearbox mount, but didnt think that would squeak???
-
Hi guys, as the title says i have a knocking coming from the front passenger side, and also when i pull off and am slowing down i can hear a squeak, any ideas as what this could be?? was thinking along the lines of driveshaft,cv joint or wheel bearing??? any help would be great, thanks in advance
-
yeah liking those wheels oxfordpaul suit the car alot, so any more plans for your vr then?
-
oxfordpaul nah this will only be my 3rd set as well, had the bbs rs's that were on the car that went back to mr denton at premier's and my brock b2's that are on at the mo and next up the asa's i would guess!! hmmmm decisions decisions
-
yeah, come on chop chop and get the old digi cam out!!! :-P would give me a rough idea of what the asa's will look like on a rado!!
-
osv yep me arches hav had the old denton magic, as smooth on the inside as they are on the outside!! triggermyson you are a star, but ive seen them for sale as a 9 x 17 but i wouldnt imagine they gonna weigh that much more!! kevhaywire good man, can you post up the weight when you've done that as would be good to see how accurate that website that triggermyson posted up is phil thats a nice lightish wheel you have there then as you weighed it with the tyre on, hmmmmm food for thought me reckons
-
pkripper how wide where the tsw that you had tho? osv very true about the lightweightness thing, few an far between and uber expensive me would thinks as well!!
-
gixxeruk dam right, bring on the sun. well for a week i guess  no crappy salt either!! osv being a bit of a wheel whore!! as they are licensed by bbs do you reckon these would be quite lightweight then?
