is it not a difference in size of throttle bodies, dont quote me on it im not a valver nut, but i bet one will be along shortly to correct me
-
if it doesnt feel right their generally arent, see how it is thursday
-
thats what i used on my supercharged badge, took my time to cut it out right and its still stuck solid now.
-
i know who you are talking about ihig60, he use to have a stupidly quick stripped mk3 gsi astra. wonder if he has put the engine out of that in the corsa. oh yeah it was running throttle bodies and alot of other tricks. my mate use to have a mk3 gsi turbo around the 300bhp mark and he beat him but not by alot.
-
il agree with that, the highsports are great on 17's i have mine fairly low aswell the tyres are in the arches not half as bumpy as i thought it would be
-
i think i will go with them. i couldnt believe when they came back to me with that. especially seen as the cheapest qoute i got before the brentacre one was £3500, the most i got qouted was £8000.
-
just got a quote through email from a company called greenlight. http://www.greenlightinsurance.com, the quote was about 400 quid cheaper than brentacre so now im having second thoughts. the company says they specialise in moded cars, i was just wondering if anyone has used these in the past.
-
yep, defo going with brentacre, cheapest quote by far and the guy that sorts you out with the qoute is a c owner. as long as i dont go over 210bhp at the wheels i can do what ever mods i want for no extra cost.
-
why dont ya try hemmerite on yours g60greeny?
-
i'd say tvr, im thinking of getting one next year. id say go for the chimaera 500 or cerbera, i love the interior of the cerbera but not the reliabilty of the engine. i knew someone who had one for three months he had to spend 3 grand on it in them three months but he said it was the quickest car he has ever driven and probably ever will drive. tvr's are in my blood my uncle has always had them and i always remember going to trackdays as a kid in his 450se, that did sound sweet. oh well never mind, bring on next year.

So has any one ever dumped a Cossie lump in a Rado??
g60griff replied to PoorMansPorsche's topic in General Car Chat
seen one in a mk2 golf, never a rado tho -
saw something a while back on here somewhere about a thing you can make out of some wire and connectors that you plug into the plug at the back of the ignition switch and it sort of hotwires the car. do a search and try and find a link that would be an idea then you would find out if its the switch or not.
-
whats the part number on the lambda probe then steve. and will i be able to get it at my local gsf. glad its sorted the problem. hope it sorts mine
-
how much were the coolant pipes? where did you get them from? looks really nice
-
i can get full lock both ways, catches slightly on the inner wings if i hold lock on, ive had 4 in the car and it didnt catch at all, so i could go a few more mm on the back. not as bad a ride as i thought it would be.
-
heres mine, im thinking of lowering a bit more at the rear.

Brakes - Can't unbolt caliper carrier from hub...ideas pls ?
g60griff replied to danp's topic in Drivetrain
i had this problem, just popped to the local garage where they got it up on the ramps used a 6 sided socket and a cracking bar and they came loose straight away, i felt like abit of a girl but they did it for free. -
id say 20v turbo now aswell, didnt realise you could get one fitted for that price in the linky.
-
get one from volkswagon aswell, i used one that wasnt and it came loose
-
it sounds alot like the problem i had, it turned out to be the fuel filter and the plugs, might aswell change them as there not that expensive or hard to do.
