Apologies, always thought it was painted. Powder coat doesn't looked right though, always looks too thick. Excellent work Chris, looking amazing.

Great work Chris, nice to see a painted finish as factory intended rather than powder coat, satin finish would be perfect. I can't wait to see this at Stanford Hall.

The Storm is with its rightful owner, not an easy decision to sell what is possibly the best in the country but I was won over by the standard of work on the blackberry, your dedication and enthusiasm. I very much look forward to seeing this car go on to concours winner and then superclass winner. ......no pressure Chris!!

Hi Goldie, Grey under seal I have is gun applied at between 4 and 6 bar to get the ripple effect, similar to 3m product but far easier to apply, ie. no silly 2 pack bag mix which resulted in bag burst when I tried it. It would be good to see how you get on with brush application.

Dinitrol, Protect Super 447 is the light grey fast drying overpaintable elastic anti stone chip Dinitrol 4010 heat resistant transparent hard coat. Brilliant product and very helpful company. Highly recommended.

Enjoyed the social side of the show, pre meet indian very good, nice to get the rado out again. Weather was much better than last year. My tastes are changing though, probably an age thing. Boom boom music drives me mad, inconsiderate prat next to us testing everybodies ear drums was unbearable towards the end of the day! Great furniture and antique shops and good pub with a lovely cask blonde and better music within the grounds was great escape, pipe and slippers for me next!! Great to catch up with everybody and there were some tasteful cars in amongst the tat too.

Hi Ray, You will struggle to make a job of it without removing, I would sandblast and treat with wd 40. Easy to maintain, and it will not crack peel or flake. If you are going to Elsacar I will show you the finish on mine which has been done for some time now.

Great show, thanks for organising it guys. Congrats to Jude and Kip, well deserved winners, I am very happy with 2nd place. Thoroughly enjoyed the convoy down and the race back with the Audi A3, hope the cameras weren't on!! Amazing turnout from all over the country is proof of how popular this show is. I was touched by the tributes to Chris Gaskell, it would be nice to see a trophy in is his honour for next year if that could be possible.
