  1. Hey pete-griff, good to hear from you, hope all is well with you  All fasteners and clips will get some treatment, need to research what finish is applicable, body shop is lined up to sort paint issues, new windscreen needed, still a list to do really! drewie99, you set the ball rolling with the plating issues!! but you're quite right, some serious contenders for next year and beyond, probably never get a winners trophy :( Chris, yep, a good buy, dont think the bonnet not going right up is a serious issue, side zips make access to move in and out of the tent a doddle, and now with all 3 fans going it really moves some air.
  2. :notworthy: love the exhaust, infact the whole car looks stunning :salute:
  3. Hi Joby, Great show mate, memorableto say the least  Caroport is a bit of a squeeze so no room for the bed, but the next size up might not have fitted in the shed  James, the improvements to my bay are essential having seen the Mk1 Golf bay :notworthy: and diy kit available...watch this space! Thanks for the slam shots will compare now. Still think it would be great to see your campaign on the stand next year, carry on the great work. :salute: Abdul and robrado974, thanks for the comments guys, trouble is you never really get it finished, its a slippery slope once you start
  4. Apparently diy zinc plating kits are available, hmmm, buckets of chemicals and electrodes  how hard can it be
  5. Jude, got a barbain at the ibis then, but gather the hilton is mega expensive for food and drinks, still its only one night of luxury :norty: Joby, advice is to be there at 10am for access to the stand but cannot make it that early. I think I may wait fot the worst of the weather to pass. Living in hope. You at the Premier Inn again with the Mrs.? James, if you aint gonna make it I'll put a set of stickers to one side for you as numbers are limited. Boostmonkey and rado 2, thanks for the kind words but its along way from being perfect, too many paintwork areas needing attention. :(
  6. Kip. yep, plates no probs. Jude, was thinking wednesday to miss the weather but more expense and availability might not be good, so thursday early ish and wash it down before it dries on :gag: James, see you there, but bare in mind pictures always look better than the real thing. Your Campaign should surely be on the stand :notworthy:
  7. I hadn't realised that it was so long since my last update, perhaps my obsession is under control. Anyway, its still driving a treat as you would expect after Dave and Grahams treatment, still have a few paint issues to sort but have been prepping for the NEC Classic Car Show. Its a pity most of my hard work wont be seen,Corrado92.pdf061.JPG[/attachment:2y8wrxpo]passat climatronic wiring diags.pdf062.JPG[/attachment:2y8wrxpo]climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf068.JPG[/attachment:2y8wrxpo]2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf066.JPG[/attachment:2y8wrxpo]063.JPG[/attachment:2y8wrxpo], and will have to clean it up again judging by the forecast this week, still there's no salt on the roads yet. :ignore: Will have a few more engine bay stickers available if anybody is in need

  11. Looks amazing Jude, not much left to do now. :salute: You will have to start thinking about the next project soon! Have you got room for a G60 in your stable to complete the collection
  12. Gauges look brill, I'd love a set, and top work on the heater matrix, horrible job I thought, bitched about it for a long time, more scuffed knuckles and cursing :mad2: good work:clap:
  13. Yep, I believe you get a a full refund on unused road tax[complete months] just have to wait for the cheque to come back. Just double check at the post office to be sure :)

  16. Sorry you didnt make it to Stanford, thought you had a lot to do!! Points wise lost a few odd points on chips and scratches and a few on detailing and lack of medical kit, generally very pleased, room for improvement. If work load permits may see you at DG openday!? Pete griff, thanks mate, D&G certainly looked after it, drives like it should now, much respect for those guys :notworthy: I have been out detailing [with a toothbrush] :cuckoo: to reduce the points lost last time. I dont think Cas will stand for much more neglect though. See you at BVF if not before
  17. Yes, thanks Chris , makes it worth the effort, needed some recognition to encourage me to carry on. trouble is I was going to pack up after my first trophy but I think I'm hooked now :cuckoo:
  18. Not been on for a while, fell out of love with it :( cos of the problems with the 1st and 2nd rebuild. 3rd time lucky thanks to Dave and Graham at DG Autotech. Should have used the professionals in the 1st place. Such attention to detail and care shown. Highly recommend these guys to anybody needing any problems solved with there beloved Corrados :notworthy: Just won my first trophy at Stanford Hall show and managed runner up 129 points   Just 6 behind Chris Gaskills Scirroco. Still got room for improvement, bit more detailing required  Didnt take the camera to the show but heres a couple just to show off :clap:2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfStanford runner up 038.JPG[/attachment:3ml71ehe]Stanford runner up 039.JPG[/attachment:3ml71ehe]

  22. Looking good Drew :notworthy: is this in preperation for the show season or is it just that old habits never really die?
