Yeah i'm at my sisters, i'll be in the Corrado, getting there friday evening AJ

Anyone, dont know why this has suddenly come about. It started after i greased the threads on the coilovers, but that surely must be coincidence? Oh James, i'll be in Durham this weekend, love it up there! Cheers

Alright mate 1994 VR6 Induction Kit 95k Use the car for shortish journeys in the week but sometimes longer ones on the weekend, always wondered what oil would be best. Usually just stick to VAG stuff Thanks AJ

Just a standard 19mm nut. Holds the top mount onto the bearing and strut.
-
the nut that holds the top mount on, how tight is that meant to be then, i tightened it as much as it would? Does it just need to be finger tight? Cheers bud
-
Well i didn't fit them to the car first off, previous owner got a garage to do it so just assembled in the reverse order i took things off in the end it was, (fitting back on the car) Coilover Bearings Top strut mount Nut Onto the car then Top plate Nut Take it this is wrong? As you descibe above thats what it's doing! Chhers mate Adam

Well my VR6 was working spot on until 1 day when the top mounts started 'knocking' when you are static turning, so bought some new VAG top mounts and bearings and fitted them this afternoon. The old bearings looked rusty so thought result! Put it all back together and the car now feels really good, except theres still that knocking!! Any ideas, cars running on coilovers but not stupid low, and it never did it before? Cheers Adam

Hope your not putting a 20vt in there Henny! AJ

...Didn't know this  - When you say VW wheels, do you mean OEM wheels, as I didn't think VW made their own wheels?? Should you change your bolts if swapping between solitudes and speedlines for example? Or to be be more specific, should I have changed my bolts when I swapped from the Speedies to my BBS RCs??? Thanks for your help Mark Would like to know this too Mark. Where would you get bolts for my BBS RX's? OEM ones from the dealer as they were mk3 anni rims??

Well just rang the dealers and ordered some 288mm discs for the fronts, and some new top mounts and bearings, just the start of a long list of things to do! Also just got a spare headlight for 20 sheets from the breakers, mine has picked up a stone chip and is starting to fog, happy days!

Cheers Phil, i had a look on here this morning and my images were fine, not cropped, just looked now and they are back being the same!
-
When yours is sorted though it's going to be one awesome car, R32? Yes please! I do love these cars but there is always something to go wrong!

No idea why it keeps cropping my images, there fine on photobucket?

Well this is now my 5th Corrado and 2nd VR6, bought it off the forum after alot of thinking and decided to go for it. Reason being i wanted another black one and with black leather so this really had my attention, so after speaking to Omar (VR6C) as he used to own it i shot down in the missus' 205 automatic to Si's place and put a deposit down later that night. Briliant Black 94k with FSH Full heated black leather BBS RXII's Nearly brand new falkens all round H&R Coilovers Neuspeed rear anti roll bar Magnex/Miltek combo with de-cat Lupo wipers front and rear R32 wishbone bushes Re-paint with smooth sills and welded up side repeaters Lots and lots of reciepts including rear axle bushes Air intake behind front bumper Sunroof works (it did when i bought it but have a habit of not using it after incase it breaks!) ABS all working as it should MFA fully functional Got the car home and the first thing that decided to 'go' was the central locking, luckily just a pipe had come off the pump so quick easy fix. Second the drivers door handle broke in the same day, quick PM to Daves16v and that was sorted a week after. All the interior was removed and cleaned/hoovered plus i found 5 quid, result! Bought new VAG rear door card clips as a few were broken and put them on so they fit as they should now, all red rears removed and some standard lights fitted. Alpine headunit with Ipod fitted. Fitted new seat runners (plastic bits) as some were missing so that was another annoying job done Things to do are New leads (bought from Mort1414 on here) 288mm Calipers (Bought from Omar) Inlet manifold (bought from Purple-Tom) New discs and pads (just ordered today 26/2/10) DG braided hoses Slam/front panel removed and tidied up New OEM grill (clips are broke on mine) Drivers fog light (its cracked) In 2 minds with it though, got a set of Speedies lying around so not to sure if i want to make the car very tidy and OEM (with the H&R's though) or keep it/make it slightly more modded. One thing is i really want to make this a very very tidy car over time, AJ

Everyday my friend, thats why i bought one. Want to be seen driving one and want to be driving one! AJ

Looking to preserve my threads on the coilovers, what should i use and where from? Cheers AJ
-
Amazing work mate, hats off to ya AJ
-
Hows this coming along bud? Some serious work there! Also found that my motor doesn't have 288's but have found some at a decent price, still need to get the braided hoses and discs yet but how do you feel about fitting them in a month or so, paid obviously. I really dont trust garages thats all, sorry if thats cheeky! AJ
-
So they will fit NON VR6 Corrados? He was asking about the VR, just want to get it right as i'll be selling them soon and dont want to mess people around Adam
-
Do mk2 Golf coilovers fit non VR6 Corrados? Thanks AJ
-
Really really like this, wish mine looked a good! Wheel choice is spot on too bud
-
Thats good news then, take it then its pretty straight forward, cheers Karl AJ

Was looking today and my slam panel has seen better days so want to remove it to refresh it! Whats involved in taking it off, is it just bolts or is it welded at all? What needs to be removed? Thanks AJ
