  1. Really like it, looks sooooo much better on the Borbets! Paint looks great also, black G60 doesn't get much better!
  2. Yes Bud, picked it up last night, just fancy getting the bay tidy and looking good, might have to do the mk4 res like you've done, looks good Tom
  3. That easy? No bolts? Just undo the pump?
  4. GSF any good or just stick to the Beru ones?
  5. How do you remove the washer fluid bottle on a VR6, needs taking off and cleaning inside as its really filthy! Cheers Adam
  6. Well Karl, i've decided to take the plunge and have Si's car, going to fork out the extra on the agreed valuation so hopefully will come out the other side happier if anything would happen, it's the only way i would do it, declare it all to the insurance and get an agreed evaluation that way you know what ground your on AJ
  7. Problems come when you do have an accident (you might never have one) then the insurers know and the payout is next to nothing, thats a reason why i pulled out of buying Simons car as i cant afford to lose the money on the payout if anything did happen. You can of course tell the insurance but again some companies wont touch them, AJ
  8. Alright Si, hows the red valver mk2 going i sold ya? AJ
  9. Love it mate, really like the A's with the flat caps. Hats off to you sir
  10. Yeah looks like its getting some decent attention Tom! Followed you a couple of months back through Crich one evening in summer, i was on my Silver/Orange R6, she sounded pretty good and some nice pops out the zorst under the bridge at Sawmills!! Looked exceptionly clean to mate, Anyway bought a mk2 Valver (and R6) after the C went to you but has just been wrote off so on the lookout for another Corrado VR! Keep the updates coming Adam
  11. Alright Tom, sounds like you have everything in hand! How do you find out about the MOT stuff, when an advisory is issued but no paperwork, might come in handy next time i buy a car! So the cold start problems are all sorted by clearing the fault codes, good skills. Wish i knew half the stuff you do, would of made my life easier for sure Adam
  12. Tom picked it up today mate, so it was 'his' really!
  13. That was me mate! Thought my central locking had packed up when i couldn't open the car........er no, i was trying to open yours! Adam
  14. How do you get that top bolt out the mount, there is no room at all!
  15. Want to do my engine mount on my VR6 (front) and wondered how you go about it, never done on before so haven't a clue where to start. Car will be on my driveway so no lifts available. So how do you do it? Ta Adam
  16. Hopefully going to be there mate, thinking about going down tomorro and camping over. The gearbox is great although not at it's full potential because i'm running basically a standard engine bar a stage 4, really should get it chipped and pullied with a cam then it'll be sweet! If i see ya i'll come over mate, i'm going to be on the Dubforce stand AJ
  17. Looks like a nice clean rado, liking the all red rears and wheels! Leather as well? My eyes are poor!
  18. It's this wknd mate so no excuse now!! Car looks great mate and i love the rims, it is true, you do sell up and always come back, i'm trying now to sell my Golf G60 to return! Although i'm not sure what i want (G60, VR) never been in a 'sorted' G60 before and the only VR i've owned was a Vento. Anyway look forward to seeing this progress AJ
  19. Check scuttle for rust and on the front wing where the aerial goes in also for rust (unless it has a beesting), bootlid also, i'd also check under the carpets to see if it's wet/damp as the door card foil will most likely of been ripped and it's letting water in, not sure what else off top of my head! All i know is i wish they made a mk2 VR6 from the factory, thats my ultimate VW!!!
  20. Love the car mate and those wheels!! They look quality! AJ
  21. Yeah, I'm awaiting such comments. Brendan used to get that in his '68 bug when he had decklid stand-offs as well. I've thought about changing back to the original filter and box as I'm all for protecting the charger but it just looks so big and, well, plastic :? As for the blue dangly plug thing - can't say I've even bothered to look at it. Car is working fine without it so it can stay out for the moment. Knowing my luck, I'll plug it in and it'll mess up something else  Was looking at this car before you bought it, i love how it's all black, looks hard as! You could always go down the drilled airbox route if you want giving more protection to the charger but still giving the awesome charger noise!! BTW i did prefer it with standard grill but looks great all the same AJ
  22. On my reciept for my re-con CTN it says: 5speed VAG golf/bora/audi A3 2.0i/1.9tdi gearbox it says CTN code on the box as well as 02A, just checking this is the right box before i fit it tomorro, just concerned about the bora/a3 bit? Cheers AJ
  23. If your thinking of going lower then i would put 205/45 tyres on there, thats the correct size for the wheels or 195's for a little stretch!!
