I'm looking now for a CTN box and stumbled across a CHA cable change 'box apparently out of a MK3 tdi for cheap money. Anyone shed any light on this gearbox, anyway related to a CTN? Cheers AJ

Looking for a CTN box at the moment for the car but i know of a CHA box for sale out of a mk3 tdi (we think its' turbo, cable change) any ideas about this 'box? Is it the same as a CTN ratio wise?? Or do i hold out for a CTN Any help much appriciated, need to get the car back on the road asap. Cheers AJ

The VEGE was £675 but there was a discount on there for some reason so it was £625? Alright Mike, was looking at a second hand box but didn't fancy getting one and it going on me so in the end i've decided to get mine fully re-con'd with VR6 gears (1,2,3,4+5) still undecided on the 5th gear?? Also decided on VR6 clutch....any other help much appriciated AJ

Dont know if they are the same as Corrado G60 boxes but i'd thought i'd ask anyway! Need a 'box for my mk2 G60 as mines on it's way out, rang Vege and they said £625 for a fully re-manufactured one, is there anyone else i should talk to before getting one, any other options? What about a clutch as well, stay standard or go VR6 or something? Cheers AJ

Well didn't get an edition 1 in the end mate but luckily this G60 came up not far from me instead, picked it up tonight, absolutely love it! Air Con Schwartz Black paint (also came on ED1!) Super rare headlight washers Massive History Stage 4 etc.....

Was going to get a VR 'Rado but i am fully onto a ED1 and this car has tipped me over the edge, quality Mike. Should i be beware of anything other than the usuall when buying one?

Been thinking and what i really would like is a 2.0 16v pushing 170+bhp or so, as i want something quick but reliable. Do i get my engine re-built to that or use an ABF or something? Who does this kind of things? Thanks

It's occasionally tappety and kicks some smoke out when you boot it, just dont know what the best thing for it is? Was thinking of a 1.9 16v or something if funds did permit...

My valver has done around 150k and i'm starting to think of a head re-build, is this the right thing to do? I'm pretty clueless about this sort of stuff so any help welcome! Will the head re-build be a do and forget job for another 100k? Thanks in advance, AJ

1.8 16V's and early G60's have different arches to the late G60's 2.016V's and VR6's, early ones are narrower but not sure of the absolute difference under the arch is? My opinion 17's look great with a drop and fill the arches nicely, 16's are good for both looks and handleing. 15's can also look good though with a mega drop plus you get cornering on rails ability!

Car looks good mate, i had that kit on my G60 and thought it was quality, never felt harsh or owt!

I know Jim, one of the reasons for buying this in the first place was my missus is at uni in leeds so wanted something quick, quiet and effortless for the journey up there at wknds but she has now decided that she is moving to Nottingham with her mate soon which is only 2 jct's from me so i have decided to let this go and get hold of another G as i wont be travelling as far

Well decided i want another Corrado so the Vento is up for sale, check it out in the For Sale Section

Just ordered my suspension today from G-Werks, gone for a Weitec fixed height kit lowering -60mm up front and -40mm out back, should look great when it's on. Went for this option as the Vento sits higher on the front by around 10mm so will give a slight nose down stance when it's on. Just need to find out if those Cupraders fit now!

herisites, your right mate, dont think there going to go over the brakes though as i want 16's! Next stop suspension, cant afford coilies though so fixed rate Weitecs it is!

Just on the verge of buying some RH Cup Raders in 16x7.5 for my Vento VR6, does anyone know if these wheels will fit over 288mm brakes or not? Just dont want to order them and they catch on the brakes? Thanks AJ
