  1. Cheers, i'll pass the message on and hopefully getting a few more orders ---------- Post added at 1:19 PM ---------- Previous post was at 1:13 PM ---------- message back about the 24v "He says on the forum they are suitable for 24v conversions but by the looks of the bushes they will not fit a mk4 v6 4mo which i think is what nex was asking. If he can do a set for the mk4 v6 4mo i would be intrested"
  2. are you replacing the front ARB or just getting it coated? not sure what to do with mine, do they wear out?
  3. I'm going to walk around wearing all the out of date plasters and bandages from my rare corrado first aid kit, i will feel like a king walking around with £100 worth of first aid supplies
  4. i need to login to the VR6OC more often. was a chap asked if they would suit a MK2 Golf with VR conversion
  5. Not a massive fan of the wheel, but your front end looks excellent in them pics, very smart.
  6. i think i will want one of the windscreen trim pieces, but in about 2 months time
  7. I was just trying to leave as little as possible as i thought that would be the best plan, thinking i could add some fresh fuel to it then and dilute the old stuff with new fuel Dunno how much fuel was 18months ago, but might sell it on for a profit!
  8. I had to get petrol this morning. I had to queue, guy in front had a big jeep thing and was filling up the big metal tanks as well, i had to wait about 20mins, then as i pulled up the guy came out and put signs on the diesel to say out of stock  Luckily i use petrol, didn't fill all the way up and left feeling moody.
  9. the little needle on the dashboard
  10. its just i've taken my standard sump off recently and have a mix of bolts, the hex and the allen keys, and the hex ones are longer ---------- Post added at 4:26 PM ---------- Previous post was at 4:25 PM ---------- was a thread on CCGB talking about later corrados using a thicker gasket and shorter bolts
  11. @Kev, do you know anything about what bolts and gasket to use with the 24v sump on a 12v?
  12. Realised that my car has had petrol just sat in the tank for about 18months now, should i try and get rid of this before starting it? I remember trying to drive around to leave under 1/4 of tank when i put the car into garage, so not much in there.
  13. can't believe i had it wrong all this time, i do remember when i put them on that something didn't seem right, but my mate talked me out of taking them off again. Still going to take subframe and steering rack off though, even though i reckon this was the cause of the majority of my steering issues
  14. Damn it, just drove past a stall selling bananas and now have 150 bananas due to me panic buying them. I'm now panic regretting it...
  15. tbh i can't remember what bits i had when i took standard suspension off, was so long ago, am sure that funny nut i have was one of them though. i might just source new bolts that fit, without any silly shapes on them. ---------- Post added at 2:59 PM ---------- Previous post was at 2:29 PM ---------- Been playing around and assembling it with the nut on top of the bush seems to fix the problem  i think my issue was i used the above diagram when fitting them before. Taken pics anyway Order of bit to go on. i had to wind tension out of coilovers using the lower spring seat, so top spring cap is loose Bearing on first, no nut to hold it on Bush on top of bearing Then the silly nut, quite awkward to tighten, i only put it on finger tight so far Metal thing and nyloc nut on last, Once fitted to car of course
  16. when i changed mine, i put the window all the way up, and used duct tape stuck to the window, over the top of door frame and then back down the other side of window, a few strips like that will hold it in place, although i'd keep an eye on it during repairs to make sure its not slowly coming unstuck
  17. it was on top, but as you put the weight of car on it, then tighten things up, it pulled through the rubber and ended up working its way sort of half under, half over the rubber bit. ---------- Post added at 12:09 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:08 PM ---------- i have the nyloc one as well, put that on top once the metal bit you see in garage bay goes on. surely you need some nut to hold the spring cap on and tension in the spring while you fit the whole shock to car ---------- Post added at 12:14 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:09 PM ---------- it was a bit weird, going round a corner and the steering sticking then suddenly releasing.... Just wondering if this caused all my knocky steering issues and my whole mission of replacing the steering rack wasn't required  but i've started so i'll finish!!
  18. I remember mentioning this nut and the fitting of bush when i fitted my KW's and people seemed to think it wasn't an issue. I've had a knocky kinda noise in my suspension for a while, suspected it was steering rack, also the steering would almost lock sometimes as you go round a corner, like something was catching then releasing, thats why i stopped driving it. Basically i think this nut is wrong, its the flat one that sits on top of spring plate It interferes with the rubber donut Underside of rubber, you can't see it but there is a bit of metal in there, exposed where that nut has been rubbing the top mount. When i look closely at that nut it has marks on it, like its been catching this bit of metal in the bush. I'm thinking of using a different nut on top there. ---------- Post added at 11:09 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:05 AM ---------- http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?58816-KW-Coilovers-and-Top-mount-nuts-query&highlight=mount

  21. nope, should fit straight on, i hope so as i bought one of them too
  22. Here is the end i have been hitting Will be getting a mate round to help hold stuff this weekend, am sure it'll be off by monday. Dunno why its so stuck on, like i say the other side came off quite easily really
  23. Can you fit the windscreen trim without the scuttle cover? Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
  24. We did mine without removing the rack. Think we had to jack the engine up a bit, but that might of been for something else. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
