  1. they are expensive, not 35k expensive, but i've chucked lots more into my car than any other i've had. Over £4k in two years and i hardly done any mods, just lowered it really
  2. i'd drive round in that just to annoy people
  3. i checked all the jubilee clips today, and nearly all were loose, and i could tighten them up a few turns. weird
  4. cheers for the help. i went to look at it earlier today and it seem its the clutch slave cylinder is leaking. It won't go into any gear now. very tempted to get it, as its taxed till May, has an mot, not sure when till tho, 4x good tyres, new battery, a few dents tho, but no rot/rust
  5. yeah a complete set of samcos went on at the time
  6. cupping them with two hands always works for me :camp: sorry :|
  7. what would cause pressure issues? it popped off as i put my foot down. the clip all seems fine etc
  8. the hose all looks fine, i remember at the time i was very careful about how tight i tightened them. Also bought clips with rounded edges and the solid middle bit. it weird how its happed now, as its been a good 7000miles since i fitted it all
  9. seeing as the corrado is costing so much and i don't like it in this weather, too cold, too dark, icy. I've decided to get a cheapy runaround. someone i know has a fiat bravo 1.4, and at the moment it only goes into reverse, she reckons its the clutch, but i'm not so sure. As it works in reverse. anyone got any experience with fiats? or know if this is a common thing. Am going to find a fiat bravo forum if such a thing exists
  10. if it just the 3 pin key, then most are the same. i don't like locking wheel nuts and took all mine off and replaced for standard ones, they a pain in the arse if someone overtightens them or the key breaks
  11. it has a massive flared end which you can't see in that pic
  12.  nearing home earlier and put my foot down on a straight bit of road, looked behind and the road was thick with white steam, could see it pouring out from front of car :( Pulled over and found that the bottom hose had popped off the rad and lost most of my coolant. Managed to get hose back on and retighted the jubliee clip, managed to drive home v.slowly. I can only see this has something to do with the jubilee clip as i renewed the entire coolant system not long ago. Could the cold weather of caused everything to shrink a bit and the clips have became loose? Maybe i should of stuck with the springy standard type ones
  13. my calipers had about 6 layers of hammerite on them, i think that why its rubbed off
  14. that was my plan, i found you could fit it with the leather stopping at the bottom of handle. its just when you put handbrake down the leather bunches up and looks a bit naff
  15. i took my sump off when i did mine, but mine leaked anyway so was a good excuse to change the gasket
  16. i reversed my nipple and it seemed to work better. i think the trick is the cable shouldn't rub or touch anything on its route
  17. at the bottom of caliper its a smaller gap
  18. its very close, especially when you have the wheel weights stuck on inside of rim. i painted all mine up, and after taking wheels off the other week i noticed the front caliper has a line about 5mm wide where all the paint has rubbed off and you can see the metal of the caliper. I've never heard anything rubbing so must be very very slight. a pic, although its hard to see
  19. im not sure about using a bigger disc, i just went with the standard size on rear. i also had that problem with there being loads of choices, but if you use the part no's mentioned you should get the right ones
  20. its where it passes behind the end of the rad (the bit you can't really see) that i went wrong, there's a hole for it to pass through in some metal, but its really easy to miss this,. In fact looking at your photo, should the metal wire pass through that slot where its touching the metal?
  21. i find this weird, has no one else had this problem before? am sure i've heard of lots of people with the koni suspension. must be a nightmare, are you sure they are the correct shocks?
  22. yeah i just sawed through it with a hacksaw in two place about 2cm apart, then used a hammer and chisel to whack it out.
  23. i think all corrados came with the same rear brakes. Someone else can probably confirm this. i only bought the calipers, they fitted onto the standard carriers, so no need to change them. mine were fitted using the existing slider pins, you can only buy new slider pins if you buy the whole carrier, which from memory was about £60 each side.
